I fully believe they could get away with Descendents and Circle Jerks playing before Nofx one day. Last time Nofx played Circle Jerks, Lawrence Arms and Anti Flag all played before them. Also this is their last tour and only Midwest date. They could splurge.
New theory/prediction: We get the lineup next week after the Bad Religion/Social Distortion tour finishes in Chicago on Monday and Bad Religion will be on the NOFX-curated stage
Hopefully not P.O.D. Catch 22 album playing Keasby Nights would be cool (even though current singer is no Tomas)
Coheed and Underoath have both hit that level where im sure if i was standing there watching id love it, but ive seen them both so many times that name on the poster no longer gets me hype. so if i had to pick only a few from here itd be better lovers, not waving but drowning, the bled, and 18 visions. Last time i saw Reggie & the full effect he was opening for aquabats, and his between song banter was so cringe and off putting in a room that was 15% small children that it gave me a small panic attack because i was way too high and i couldnt handle the 2nd hand embarrassment. haha
No offense to POD.. they were a perfectly fine poor man's alt radio Deftones.. I just really don't want to hear people speculating them for another whole week when there are still 100's of bands that are still in play for the lineup LOL
Catch-22 still exists? I thought they quietly disbanded a decade ago based on how inactive they seem to be online.
Fuck that, I want only James banter. I remember him getting me sick at Subt like a decade ago lol. I've seen Reggie without the banter with MCR, it's decidedly less fun. Give me James on a kid's fire truck any day of the week and the Common Denominator outfit change. I am way too well versed in Reggie lol
Need a Death Spells reunion sometime too, maybe not as an outdoor festival set but an aftershow would be fun.
He got kicked out of TGUK for fighting with Matt (even on stage) / not being sober. He took a break from MCR due to not being sober, then covid hit. MCR have spoke highly of him since and still follow him. There's no bad blood there. The "allegations" was him owing money to an ex and having tax/soberity issues. The account's bio linked to an opinion article whining about his 2015 kickstarter (which was successful). Half the posts were begging for followers before posting "proof" which was just personal messages about MCR members - to get MCR fans on their side. There wasn't a single actual allegation in the 100+ posts made.
