Maynard's played one show with any of his bands in September since 2012 or so.. he owns and runs a vineyard.. they did a one off show last year, but I think it was a contractual thing with Danny Wimmer

 

ive noticed this year people are getting irrationally angry at other people's guesses (or people just making guesses in general) across the different social media riot pages. its very funny.

 

To be fair we've had some pretty stupid suggestions.

The funniest act I have seen on a mock so far is John Hinckley Jr., the guy who tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan who is a musician lmao

 

That was me (the guy who suggested him, not the guy who tried to assassinate Reagan)

 

I'd actually be down for that set. Mostly out of morbid curiosity, but also fuck Reagan.

 

Sounds like something a guy that would try to assassinate Reagan would say…

Pulp playing Hollywood Forever Cemetery on 21st Sept. Probably rules out Riot.

 

Playing the Aragon balloon September 8th. They where already out for riot

 

True but people were speculating about it once Aragon sold out etc. Having seen them in the UK last year, based on their set design and video setup they probably want to keep it and use it inside venues instead of festivals. Doubt they're hard up on festival offers.

 

Not that folks were speculating them but... Safe to assume Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes are out. Playing Rosemont, IL on 8/22 and that appears to be the last date on the tour.

Bummer too... Missy would have been a phenomenal headliner.

 

Spoon announced a tour today that finishes in Pittsburgh two days before Riot starts.

 

Also Cake announced another small batch of fall shows, and still none in chicago or over riot weekend, so i think they are inching closer to 'very likely'

 

Would love cake at Riot

 

The Struts are out. 8/17 in Chicago.

 

Cue to somebody on Reddit claiming this is a hint that Roger Waters is headlining.
