Sure, great get but I would not consider them a lock bc of Lolla New Found Glory & Sincere Engineer seem likely though
I mean, we also have Taking Back Sunday who is doing a big tour and skipping Chicago. But I wouldn’t call them a lock at this point.
Considering the increased popularity of Militarie Gun, I'd assume they aren't playing but there could be an aftershow with them if MO wants to play one.
Militarie Gun seems just on the cusp of being "too big" to play both. It feels more like a coin toss than a lock. Especially with the last date of that MO tour being just before Riot. It would make sense for Manchester to tack on Riot Fest and for Militarie Gun to just dip back home for whatever they need to do (rest probably; they will have been on the road for the better part of the year at that point and have two festivals later in the fall). If it were mid-tour I think it would be a different discussion.
Less Than Jake played House of Blues in July & were announced for Riot in 2022.. it could happen, I just wouldn't call it a lock Plus, like sam said.. we've been bamboozled by what we thought were locks in the past
Really hoping they don't waste a slot on the NOFX stage with that trash. That's a slot that could go to any number of vibrant, younger punk or hardcore artists.
And there are many more older artists I would rather have in that spot too if they are trying to keep the older punks happy. Either way, I would be happier than having them on that stage.
coping and crossing my fingers extra hard that he is just barely outside the 90 day window AND has the entire riot weekend open with no crazy travel on either side (next show would be in oregon on the 24th, which would be nothing if he were on 20 or 21st)
I had the same thought but I just don't see it. He's been pretty open about his mental health and I think at this point what he commits to is what he plays.
