I don't know if I'd call that a lock. They could theoretically headline one of the street festivals here, or be playing The Nights We Stole Christmas or be playing something unrelated that is also unannounced. It's possible, yes, but not a guaranteed lock.

The "I can't say for what" could be referencing their album which Lili has said hopes to be out this year.

If they did play they would have to have a much higher billing this time. The pool party last year was packed and the outdoors at the Salt Shed fits 5,000 people.

 

Yeah I was gonna say, lock is a stretch.

Pool party was a blast so I hope they do something cool, though.

 

Totally out of their control but hopefully Pool Party round 2 isn't on the hottest day of the year lol

It looks like The Black Keys will be touring around Riot season. A date slipped for LA 9/27. I know this doesn’t rule them out or lock them, but something to think about

 

I’m not sure if they were ever considered, but Stray Cats are out. Gary, IN show in August

 

Another band that I’d prefer stay far away from Riot Fest.

there’s been a handful of bands who have done both. Not too concerned.

 

I swear there have been instances where smaller bands have played both, but regardless, maybe an aftershow?
