that’s all the way in Jersey. Might be tough for them to make that trip. But, you never know, I guess.
Have The Offspring not played since 2012? That's the last time I recall and that was when it was the opening night at Congress.
They'd be a main stage sub headliner and could fly from Philly to Chicago or vice versa (easier than NIN coming in from Los Angeles in 2022) - but it seems pretty bleak.
Yeah, they'd just rent gear at that point if they weren't worried about stage setup but probably not likely.
From that scene/era, I'd rather they get Seahaven or Basement or Balance and Composure, but Tigers Jaw always put on a good show.
If Basement somehow manage to get on the lineup I would be so happy. Their Lolla aftershow was one of the best shows I have ever attended.
The Offspring and Riot Fest is like Fall Out Boy and My Chem with the Warped Tour. They've only played it twice in 10+ years, but are still somehow inextricably linked based purely on aesthetics. EDIT: It is also really funny that every year they seem likely but opt for one of those cheesy rock radio festivals instead.
Basement would be a really great early evening Rebel or mid-afternoon Rise/Radicals set... Not sure who would headline but in addition to some of the other names tossed out I would think Drug Church, Fiddlehead, Militarie Gun, Scowl or whoever else might be good fits alongside them. Sidebar: Is there any reason to think that the Jesus Lizard might play again? They played in 2018 and popped up on that Best Friends Forever Fest. Coming to mind because I know at least some members of Drug Church are big fans.
The offspring are prolly on lolla anyways. I wanted the warning at riot maybe they are on lolla as well
I think The Warning will play Riot. They are playing LTL and Aftershock, so they will be in the US around Riot, and they have played a Riot Fest Presents show.
