SoCo tour tickets were all gone pretty quick, May is outside any radius, and who knows when Riot will release their lineup.. but they are probably out. now the wait for Lollapalooza's lineup begins LOL
With Supernova being a week before Riot this time around I'm really hoping we get a bunch of ska bands this year. Specifically some of the Bad Time Records bands: We Are the Union, Catbite, Mustard Plug, Kill Lincoln, Flying Raccoon Suit, Half Past Two, Call Me Malcolm, etc. Maybe book both Voodoo Glow Skulls and Death By Stereo; get Efram to pull double-duty. Hah.
ive wanted to see death by stereo for like 20 years. please let it happen. would love even more a Day of the Death album play
Thinking The Lawrence Arms are a strong likely addition on the NOFX stage. I think they would save a Metropole album play for War in December, but who knows.
Might be a dumb question but do we think they would be doing this as a 20 year anniversary this year or next since they missed a year?
Did I miss some sort of Lawrence Arms announcement? They're definitely overdue for an appearance at Riot (whether they're part of a NOFX-curated stage or not) but... Did something come out about them playing shows? Or celebrating a Metropole anniversary or something? New songs?
Murder by death is out. They released a June tour schedule and said it’s the only dates they are playing this year
Neil mentioned on a podcast that they have about 10 songs they are working on. Hoping for a fall release, but I’m sure that it can change. Brendan also mentioned working on songs on insta not too long ago.
Hah! I just saw Neil was the guest on This Was The Scene a few minutes ago and wondered if that's where it came from... Makes sense, though! I could see them on Riot for sure. Especially with a new album coming. I could see them being on the NOFX stage, though part of that might be how involved Fat Mike gets in booking the bands. If they let him fully curate it top-to-bottom, I'd imagine there's a few other bands he'd want instead of the Larry Arms at this point. But who knows!
I think his relationship with Brendan and the fact they're a chicago band would definitely make them a lock on the nofx stage
I’m not much of a Lawrence Arms guy but I love “Seventeener” so I’m all in on a Metropole album play.
I know Slick Shoes started recording an album back in November. Would love to see them make the trek out now that they're active again
Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid just announced a co-headliner that runs from July through August starting in Cleveland on 7/11 and ending in Phoenix on 8/25. No Illinois date and the poster says there's additional dates TBA. Definitely feels like Riot is a possibility for one or both artists. Would work well with Sublime (although that combo would feel a little tired TBH) or 311.
Sublime with Rome fairwell tour has a September date in Chicago, curious to see if or how that affects new sublime at all
