According to Courtney Love last night at a show in London... Hole's coming back. She got up and sang a few songs with Green Day's side-cover band, the Cover-Ups, and said she'd back with Hole at some point. Very vague without specific timing but... Something to consider.

Not quite headliner status, even as a reunion (as far as I can tell), but could see them closing out Radical/Rise or going last on Roots.

 

I think they're a headliner, especially if it's their first show back or only midwest show or something like that.

 

Doubt they were ever considered but Cigarettes After Sex is out. United Center 9-23

 

Man, sad bastards going to have a long couple days at the UC.

Fair point. It'll probably depend on who all else they book. I was thinking of them as being at Queens of the Stone Age level and they headlined previously (but took a backseat to a reunion in 2023) so... Yeah, you're right. That would make sense!

Part of me wants to say it would make a lot of sense for Riot at this point... But some of it probably has to do with what they're shooting for with a new album. Any of those festivals could make sense, TBH.

 

Pitchfork is what she played over Lolla during the last cycle and I can see that being the case again because it guarantees a headline spot rather than a late afternoon slot.

But...let's be real, she has fit the Riot mold for a long time now. Maybe not with Daddy's Home but she would close out a stage and be one of those acts that people aren't fully aware of but catch and be blown away, especially with a guitar-forward album coming.

 

Bone Thugs tour skips Chicago - they'd be great in the afternoon Coolio spot

 

I’ve been waiting for St.Vincent to play Riot for far too long. If Bleachers, Father John Misty and Sleater Kinney could play so can St.Vincent.

 

If the fucking National have played, so can Annie.

 

Ani Difranco played last year, I guess anything is possible

 

Slayer, Hole, NOFX, St. Vincent, Sum-41, Bone Thugs & Harmony... Love this line-up for Riot.

With Slayer headlining... Does that open up the possibility of Power Trip and/or Dillinger Escape Plan? Those would be two pretty decent "gets" that would be great support for Slayer.

 

I’d say so. Both of them being booked for that No Values fest, plus Riot hinting other “reunions” makes me think either/or could be added
