That James guy is my (second) cousin LOL. He used to be the manager of Cobra Lounge. Every year I consider hitting him up for free tickets but I never want to be that guy lol. Anyways, I see his point (and no I’m not being biased because we are family haha) it would probably be a huge liability risk and just not worth it, however cool it seems like on paper.
On the admat they just released they have riot listed, so first official band announcement! I wonder if The Interrupters are going to play again too
Cool to have them confirmed so early. I just went through their discography for the first time ever and it'll be fun to see them on their final tour.
Given the way they tour, though, it's incredibly unlikely they hit a city like Chicago twice in a year. For many of these older acts that do 1-2 tours per year I tend to assume that they're out if an earlier tour has a date in the city. Definitely doesn't rule them out completely but it decreases the chances pretty significantly to me.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if the city would reject their application if they knew there'd be a no barricade stage.
The Sum aftershow at Riot 2018 at Concord was a lot of fun. It was just them, it was done at midnight, and I chatted with Hobo Johnson while waiting for my Lyft.
No Doubt has entered the chat. If they’re on the Coachella lineup which is rumored I can definitely see more touring this year and a spot at Riot.
I feel like if they are back and touring riot is a lock. Haven’t played riot fest since 2015. Granted they don’t tour much and haven’t been a band in a while
I’ve got some new ideas/predictions based on all this info! Blur - No Doubt - The Killers Alanis Morissette - NOFX - Ween - Sum 41 - Taking Back Sunday I would be the start of a pretty decent top line or two for me!
TBS and Militarie Gun also seem like they will end up on Lolla this year based on them being on Bonaroo and Coachella
