Seems to be the case for RiotLand which... I'd prefer new stuff over the carnival B.S. Haha. As for Radical/Rise, though, it looks like it's the same as usual compared to past years... But you have two stages there instead of one, it's angled in a different direction and its pulled back a bit. Arguably, it should be the same amount of people there at any given point.
you combining haunted house and portapotties just made me think itd be hilarious to see a maze made out of portapotties... the further in youre willing to go, the cleaner they will be! but then you realize they made it harder than it needs to be and you miss a whole band lost in the maze.
Looking over the food options, it's really nice to see a jump in vegan options this year. Especially in the VIP/Deluxe areas. Island Noodles is tasty and all but... The lack of variety/choices was always such a bummer for my partner. I think she'll be stoked to see MeetStop! Meanwhile, I'm still depressed over Taco In A Bag not existing.
Apparently NOFX has some sort of announcement tomorrow about Chicago @ 2pm EST / 1pm CST. They posted a countdown on Instagram earlier today. Curious to see what it is since they don't seem to be doing album plays at the moment and we already know they're doing The Decline on Sunday...
New prices just dropped. Not sure about the others but the base deluxe ticket "only" jumped by about $30. Well, that's underwhelming. But you're probably right. Haha. And it would make a lot of sense considering they'll probably only have limited merch available at the festival. Why am I still optimistic about anything?
Still waiting for that announcement. Maybe their timer started counting up when it hit 0. if they are doing a pop up, they should just have it in RiotLand. That might get me to go over to that area.
Right?!! My flight in is on Wednesday AM so it's less than two weeks before I'm actually hanging out in the city of Chicago! I'm grateful my partner is really into planning shit like this because we've got a full docket of restaurant reservations in addition to the Lincoln Park Zoo and Catcade to visit. LOL I wonder if the person who put that up there had the time or day wrong. In hindsight, Friday afternoon is an odd time for an announcement... Especially with Riot doing their ticket price increase like, two hours before. Hah.
I haven't been to a pop-pup but I'm guessing it's basically just a regular ol' NOFX/Fat Wreck merch booth plus the Punk Rock & Paintbrushes exhibition that they've been traveling with. Fat Wreck has been doing city-specific shirts so they'll probably be selling those along with the usual NOFX shirts, Fat Wreck merch, etc.
Potentially not attending this year. Still unsure. But if anyone is looking for 2 GA tickets let me know. I'll know more in the coming days.
