Yeah definitely differences in lifestyle/standards/expectations, it's interesting, I honestly wish things were closer in proximity, we typically have to take off two extra days from work because of the drive, one day before the fest starts and the next day to drive back home
Just took a look at the venues Riot typically books out of to get an idea of what's available for aftershows; These are the days they would happen: Bottom Lounge (R/F/S/S) Concord (R/F/S/S) Metro (F/S/S) Reggies (full) Empty Bottle (Friday late show) Cobra Lounge (R/F/S/S) House of Blues (R/Sun) Chop Shop (F/Sun) Aragon (F/S/S)
Honestly, the more I look at this schedule the happier I am with it. I just wish NOFX and Sublime were ending earlier than 10pm on Sunday. Haha.
This has to be the earliest the set times have come out. As I knew. Friday is a lot of fun and I have no clashes. Saturday isn't for me at all. Sunday would be the day of trying to see acts ive never seem before.
Catch me at these! Sunday is truly a wacky day, sheesh. ----FRIDAY---- Action/Adventure (12:10-12:40 AAA) Winona Fighter (12:45-1:15 Metro) Home Front (1:40-2:10 Radical) Spiritual Cramp (2:50-3:20 Radical) The Chisel (3:25-3:55 Rise) Drug Church (4-4:40 Radical) Mully/NFG/Larry? Sum 41 (6:05-7:05 Metro) The Offspring (7:10-8:10 AAA) Fall Out Boy (8:15-10 Metro) ----SATURDAY---- Liquid Mike (11:45-12:15 Rise) Brutus/Heart Attack Man? Sweet Pill (1:50-2:20 Rise) The Hives (2:55-3:35 Metro) Basement (4:45-5:25 Radical) Beach Bunny (5:30-6:10 Rise) Waxahatchee/St Vincent/Descendents/LS Dunes? NOFX (8:30-10 NOFX World) ----SUNDAY---- Nekrogoblikon (12:10-12:40 Metro) Fiddlehead (2:10-2:50 Rise) Magnolia Park (2:55-3:25 Radical) Cursive (3:30-4:10 Rise) Lamb of God (6-7 Metro) Rob Zombie (7:05-8:10 AAA) Sublime (9-10 Rise)
Honestly, kind of like the after shows come after the schedule. I can decide based on conflicts instead of just flip a coin on potentials.
I decided not to go as soon as it was announced it was leaving the city & have been avoiding this thread; I just decided to catch up on the last 24 hours in here for the hell of it, this is so crazy
So with more SoCo dates coming next week... After shows are all probably right around the corner, right?
Most likely. I wasn't really expecting the schedule until the first week of September and I think they probably went with that early because of the move.
For anyone who needs tickets a bunch of my coworkers plan on selling their tickets because it got moved back to the city. So when they know for sure I’ll let you all know if anyone still needs one.
Same. Maybe aftershows give me some options but there's no way I'm going with the conflicts for acts I want to see.
