If I had to guess someone got in the cities ear and was like give them the permits at the price from last year. we are losing a ton of money by not having it in the city

This is insane. And I’m not sure how they are going to fit all the Saturday bands on the NoFX stage now.

 

No way riot fest goes back unless there was a significant cut in permits

Also if I had to guess this was riot fest plan from the start. Don’t think they ever wanted to move but did so to get the city to renegotiate prices and it took 2 months for that to happen

and I say this cuz the permits were never pulled from the cities website. They were just left in Tentative standing

 

And if this happened then fuck BJ for, yet again, not getting as much money as possible for the city and its residents.

 

I will say I know a lot of people in the city that were complaining and not going to go if it stayed in Bridgeview.

 

i have so many questions regarding the inner workings of this. wasnt there a contract with the stadium? howd that become null and void? did the conflicting soccer game start the souring of that relationship almost immediately?

everyone saying its about low ticket sales, but i figured they always wanted to be in douglass/chicago and were hopeful theyd be asked back once the city realized it was giving up free money, maybe they played whatever poker hand they had really well to get welcomed back, or am i way off base and they came back groveling?

Yeah, I'm going to sleep on this because while now the likelihood of me going on Saturday increases, I also don't want to reward this fucking behavior with my money, as extremely minor as that is.
