This was wild. Jumped right on a hotel by Grant Park and was able to get one for like, $200 cheaper than my Midway hotel... So this works for me. Happy that it's back where it was before. But god, this is going to suck ass for certain people. EDIT: Also? Stoked for the schedule!
God I'm so fucking happy about this. I can't believe it and I have no idea how this was able to happen, but I am so so happy.
its not bring a friend for free, but rather just get another ticket for a friend at 20% off. they are giving people who refunded originally a chance to buy at their OG price, but people whoe bought when it was at seat geek can not get a refund. there will be shuttle from the airport hotels near seat geek
And hell ya schedule tomorrow. Seems early but I guess it's actually more a case of holy shit riot fest is closer than I realized
Gonna have to pop into the church that sells those nachos and say a quick thank you prayer each night
read to me as as giving as many perks as they can muster to soften the blowback, lol, but who knows this will make saturday interesting with how many more bands were on that day when they assumed a later end curfew.
No refund for tickets bought for seat geek Can I get my ticket refunded? All previously purchased tickets will be honored at Douglass Park. As stated in our purchase policy, all festival ticket sales are final and non-refundable. This policy allows us to maintain the quality of our event and ensure that we can provide the best possible experience for all attendees.
Is this the first time they release the schedule before the aftershows? I mean, thats cool, you can plan your schedule and which aftershows to buy instead of pick blindly
I can't wait to hear about potential resident blowback on this. Knowing my city, this was done without any consideration on their part.
I saw the post on Facebook and thought it was referring to next year at a glance. I did a triple take. This is completely wild from front the back and all the way around, can you imagine how shitty the sales must have been to make this happen.
I'm thrilled because I always hated the idea of moving the burbs, but also feel a bit of dread about the fest's continued existence. It seems like they're scrambling hard against logistics/finances that were not in their favor and burning bridges left and right in the process (I'm honestly shocked the CPD didn't tell them to get fucked after how sudden & antagonistic the previous "change of venue" announcement was).
I have seen lots of comments of people saying that now that it is in Chicago they will attend, cant imagine how low the sales were for Bridgeview
