Actually, seems there's been enough smoke going around locally. I've been out of the loop with so much going on so this is wild if they move it again. And I'll be pissed now because I got a refund for one ticket and sold the other.
I like how the confirmation comes from a local radio station, to a bar talk to The Lawrence Arms saying it at a concert.
What a proper clusterfuck if it has to move back. If I were the Park District I'd tell them to get fucked.
Im kinda glad Im not going this year. Cant imagine the stress of getting an airbnb in the city, then figuring out a place in Bridgeview and now not having an idea if I should get a place in the city again. Their lack of communications is stressful
Wow, imagine buying tickets and booking hotels a few month ago near Douglass just to be told that it's moving to Bridgeview and cancelling all your plans to book a hotel in Bridgeview and now being told that it's moving back to Douglass. If it would have happened to me I would have been so pissed.
luckily for me, i kept my douglass park airbn, and just planning to deal with whatever parking/traffic situation. ive been a riot defender for every misstep every year, and even if this works out better for me in the long run, itd be the first time i can fully get on board wiht 'yea thats a dick move to the people who re-planned.'
I mean I'd love it to move back to the city but I feel like the chances are very slim that they would get approved at this point. Not to mention how pissed the Douglass Park residents would be at this point - they've wanted the festival to leave, they said they were leaving, and now they're saying surprise we're actually doing it again. Idk I feel like it's Bridgeview or nothing at this point. This is actually the first year I'm a little concerned it might just not happen. What's the drama in Bridgeview - other than the women's soccer event has there been other pushback?
