Someone mentioned that there is one when their were announcing all of their tour dates. I believe it's at Concord.
Not sure what I'm more stressed about, getting a ticket to that show or actually getting to that show.
If you’re going to an aftershow you’re going to want to leave the festival on the earlier side of the evening or else you will either be rushing to the aftershow or not make it in time.
I know, that's what I'm worried about. Don't want to miss anything good. It would help a lot if we had the daily lineups.
I'm really curious to see how late the fest is going to run this year and what sort of things they might be doing in the evenings because aftershows are gonna require a lot of sacrifice and hustle. Mike vaguely mentioning the "emo beach party" thing and the Oz dance club thing on the map have me intrigued about things they might do at night. I also got really excited for a second because I just noticed that there's a sign that says "COMICS" by the pizza spot and I thought it was referring to stand-up and they had finally put that in. Haha. But it's pretty clearly referring to comic books. Silly me.
It’s strange how his whole interview and the hype they tried to build up for Riotland has resulted in radio silence ever since. It’s like they tried to rebrand into one of those festivals where the atmosphere is the point— then didn’t elaborate on the atmosphere
It would honestly be nice to get more information including about what “Riotland” will entail. I wonder if they weren’t expecting the blowback from the location change and are waiting for the mood to cool down before announcing more information?
If you look at the map it honestly doesn't seem all that different than what they previously did with the exception of the "Rockaway Beach" bit, the bar in the dome, the casino, and the night club. Everything else is pretty standard or something they'd done in the past (the circus area; haunted house). And those new things aren't all that complicated? Probably just tents for the most part. I think they hyped it up as "RiotLand" at first just to make sure people talked about the new location.
If there’s one thing Riot Mike knows how to do it’s to over promise and under deliver. Sean was the guy who knew how to moderate Mike’s ideas and actually fulfill them pretty well while working with the community.
https://www.reddit.com/r/RiotFest/s/Dtx1QGgcW2 Shuttles won’t be accessible for disabled persons per Riot Fest. This is pretty shitty.
Thankfully the subreddit was overwhelmingly pissed about this and I think someone caught wind as many people were helping this person use ADA to get the point across as there is an update. https://www.reddit.com/r/RiotFest/s/eOt9LLlH2Z
It’s incredible that the fest whose whole brand is snarky and fun communication on social media is consistently atrocious at any kind of serious and/or important communication.
