I think Cap’n Jazz would be a little out of place on this year’s lineup tbh. Looking at the lineup, it’s pretty easy to see who could be paired on a stage with who, but I couldn’t think of a good combo other than Something Corporate. If Riot had gotten a couple other bands of their ilk, I could see it, but that’s my two cents
Agreed that Cake would've been perfect (in general) but especially this year! For me, personally, the biggest "lock" that didn't wind up being on the bill was Allister. I felt for sure they'd be on here given that they're a Chicago band on the SoCo dates around it.
To have Riot Land as big as they plan to do it, for sure they have thought and planned about it for a long time, a plan B for when Douglass wasnt an option as they have had issues with the neighbours for a long time now. About bands dropping, Im not sure they will. Riot most likely let them know before the announcement, and Im sure festivals provide transportation in and out of the festival to most if not all bands.
I’m not saying dropping after the fact. I’m saying before the lineup was released. Would explain some of the obvious locks not playing.
bridgeview is super close to midway airport! maybe a 15-20 minute drive tops open air used to be there, i worked this year, they just had one stage in the parking lot and then the rest played in the actual stadium, also in the lot was all the merch and vendors, it worked out just fine til open air died off
The bands couldn’t give two shits if this is in the city or the suburbs lol All that matters is whether the check clears. Some of this chicken little stuff from y’all is weird.
You’d be surprised. But I’m also not charging in here like a fucking dick. All you’ve done is been an asshole since yesterday.
So do we think The Offspring, Public Enemy, and Bright Eyes are all playing on Friday? Because once you add in FOB, NoFX, Descendents, Circle Jerks, and Sum 41, that has to be about the best top of a daily lineup I have ever seen from Riot Fest.
I’m definitely not forgetting it. I’m talking solely about the top and for my tastes. Each of those dates have numerous bands I don’t care about at the top.
It's hard to tell with the poster layout. It kinda looks like it but I think once you get beyond the second line of artists (the Offspring, St. Vincent, Rob Zombie) it gets a little hazy as to who's doing what day. That's how it looks to me, anyway... But I also have to say that I think they might be dividing up Descendents and Circle Jerks. They're on a co-headlining tour but whenever they do a PiD date Descendents are on one day and Circle Jerks on another. So it would make sense to have Descendents, Circle Jerks, and Pennywise as direct support on that stage. Not necessarily in that order.
Yeah, I wasn’t clear whose tour shirt actually listed the Friday or if the shirt was for both of them. So that is why I just through them on. Taking one of them off doesn’t really change my feelings on that though. If they are all actually playing on Friday, I’m going to have some decisions to make.

The article mentions they are working on getting extended PACE service on weekends which will be great. More buses means less cars on the road after the show
nope it never will, we didn't know how good we had it til it was gone, i ran around like a chicken with its head cut off that year. fucking stackedddddddd
Wish they would do two Rebel-sized stages again rather than moving Rebel up to a full size stage. That slightly more intimate space was so great for a lot of smaller bands.
Do we think they mean five main stages plus a smaller stage or two? Or is it just flat-out... Five stages of the Riot/Roots/Radical/Rise size? The map makes it real hard to sort out. Hah! On a related note, I'm looking forward to seeing an actual map of where things are...
Same. But in a way it makes me feel better that they aren't? Because it means that FB post was a bit more legit. Haha.
I know 2015 is the GOAT to so many people. Something must be wrong with me. I personally prefer the 2013, 2019, 2022, and even 2016 lineups way more. Also I can say this since I just booked mine- but there’s 2 campsites within 20 minutes of the venue this year for those who want to go the cheaper route. good luck getting cabins at them but I believe tent and rv camping is still available. camp Bull Frog Lake is only 15 minutes away. I’m staying at Camp Sullivan bc they had one small cabin left.
