My biggest regret about not going is already if Saxsquatch plays at like 3 pm on Sunday & I don't get to see that super hungover while sitting in the grass

 

they close a lot of the residential streets around the stadium to prevent people from parking

Def not counting on it, but it'd be pretty cool if some of those of these bands yoinked down 57 after their riot show to hit Pygmalion. Looking at you Waxahatchee.

 

Curious if they push after show start time later due to the move otherwise it could be tough to see headliners, get out and get there in time

 

The aftershows already start late so maybe they just nix openers?

 

From what I heard the traffic getting in and out to that stadium is a nightmare, they will need to start the aftershows way after midnight for people to make it there on time

 

Yeah, legit can’t imagine how bad leaving is going to be

 

It’s going to be bad even if you are not driving because everyone is going to be trying to get Uber/Lyft to the Orange Line and there probably won’t be enough drivers in the area/the prices will be jacked the fuck up.

Red Stars have been trying to move out of SeatGeek anyway so this just accelerates that.

 

for Chicago open air they had a large police presence controlling a lot of driving in the area, so unless you were local and could tell them no and you knew where to go, you had to go and enter where they told you to.

 

There’s a lot that can be said regarding the Red Stars having a game that weekend, but I’ll just say that it sounds like they never spoke to the Red Stars about a solution and I find that pretty shitty of Riot Fest.

Yeah true maybe they did speak, but it just feels weird regardless because now the Red Stars have to find a place to play which idk it’s like “hey we’re moving in and kicking you out, deal with it” and not helping find a solution.
