That NOFX stage is fucking wild. Really strong with only a few bands I'd want to not see. The rest of the line-up is solid. Fall Out Boy, Sublime, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Suicidal Tendencies, the Hives, Drug Church, Spiritual Cramp, Sincere Engineer and Winona Fighter all pretty easily move the needle for me. This might be a "me going on my own while my partner gets the house to herself for the weekend" kinda trip. Need to think on this some and in the meantime... I was able to reserve a motel room about a 10-minute walk from the festival. LOL
There's a lot of bands here who I would want to see at a festival but wouldn't specifically go to a show of theirs. Haven't seen Fall Out Boy since Monumentour so that's sick and I've never seen the Offspring so that's on the list for sure. Besides that seems to be a good year for hardcore. Gel, Drug Church, and Sunami are going to be fun sets.
FOB, Beck, pavement, st vincent, bright eyes, spoon, manchester, sum 41 would be fun, waxa, soco, hot mulligan, basement, cursive, slaughter beach dog, the armed, liquid mike. love a lot on here, probably still going to skip with the bridgeview news.
I love this lineup but I also understand why people don’t. Every headliner has already headlined in the past and there really isn’t a lot of new stuff being brought to the table. But I think it’s worth it
Parking prices for the weekend: Standard - $120 Premium - $150 Sucks but if I'm paying anyway at least premium is only a little bit more.
The more I see it, the more I like it, pretty solid lineup. If I still lived in Chicago I would go no hesitation, but having to travel from CDMX that's a no for me. But have fun everybody!
This lineup is great for me. Glad to see Cobra Skulls again. I love them but didn’t even suspect that they would pop up on here.
time for my victory lap, but i was on the '3 days of nofx curating their corner of the fest, and it being promoted as such' from day 1 of them announcing farewell tour
It’s a nice lineup but a lot of these acts have toured quite a bit recently (or hit Chicago numerous times already post pandemic). Although some of my faves are on here so it would be cool to see them all in one weekend!
If no ones watched the videos of Sublime with Jakob at Coachella its SPOOKY how similar he is do his dad. No offense to Rome, but man, what a treat.
I'd for sure watch Fall Out Boy, Pavement, Slayer, Bright Eyes, NOFX, Spoon, Sum 41, Something Corporate, Descendents, Laura Jane Grace, Dead Milkmen, Hot Mulligan, The Hives, State Champs, Drug Church, and Fiddlehead. There's a laundry list of others I would watch though if time allows (Beck, The Offspring, St Vincent, Rob Zombie, Manchester Orchestra, New Found Glory, Beach Bunny, Basement, Poison the Well, Gel, Sunami, Saxsquatch, Liquid Mike).
