Out of towner here. We typically stay right near Millennium Park and Uber to/from the fest. This stinks lol.
only a 30 min drive from my douglass airbnb, not terrible. i enjoy driving, especially in an unfamiliar city and ive learned quickly to set my route to be 'avoid highways' so im fine with this. hopefully based on those drawing thewy have a lto of cool stuff planned.
They need to be upfront about improved transit options (I’m sure they will but they never really got the pink line right all the years at Douglass) because that’s what’s going to be most important to get people, like me, to Bridgeview. I don’t want to wait a long time for a bus in Bridgeview at like 10PM at night personally.
The "getting to Riot Land" page has a "Shuttles" section that only says "More information coming soon." Would have been nice to have those details upfront...
"Take the Chicago CTA Orange Line train to the Midway station. If you’re going to the fest, from there we advise you to take the Pacebus route 386 to the stadium. If leaving the fest after 7:00pm, you will have to take a rideshare back to the CTA Orange Line Midway station." And that's why it's not great.
