Pile are out, they added a 9/15 show at Sleeping Village. It starts at 9 though so if you are not a fan of the Friday headliner, this could be an option...
I know nothing about this band but the fact that they're adding these to a bunch of existing dates means they might have been in line to play, and it fell through so they're doing their own thing - kind like what happened to Paramore.
After that auction, I was so sure that this was going to be the week. Hopefully next week is actually the week.
On the subreddit someone pointed out that in the app there is a dog with a clock that points to 11 and 12 so they assume we can have the lineup tomorrow at 11am Its the same dog that was on the beer labels last year, but those labels had the Goose Island logo instead of the clock. I'm not sure if the dog pointing to 11 and 12 was in the app before tho
Interesting! Something else to note, Grandaddy is teasing an announcement for tomorrow. Apparently they have a new album out this year. Would be sick if they were announced for Riot too
I checked the app a few weeks ago after we got the email about it. That dog was there then with those same hands on the same numbers. Edit: but I feel like I remember the positioning of the dog being more centered or something on the screen.
It was on the 2022 poster with the clock hand in the same position. So I think people are reading into nothing there.
Yeah, no way it comes today with no advance buildup. Wednesday next week or the following week has to be it, unless they delay the lineup announcement until the park district board fully approves the location.
I would be surprised if they waited a month. That's a lot of time lost when you could be selling tickets. Considering Reset doesn't have approval yet - and won't until just weeks before the weekend it's supposed to be held - I think they'll go with announcing a lineup and location, damned be the response.
They’ve dropped info on a Friday before. But they’ve always tweeted about the line-up drop the day before. I think it’ll be next Wednesday, at this point.
I low-key love it when Riot posts a weird teaser where you have to figure them out. The 2016 one was fun, and the 2018 one with mariachi tunes was fun too
It really like the “music” ones. The audio through the static, cover versions, etc. The anagrams were fun too! Along with the infomercial tubes. Excited to see what they pull out this year and hope the “hints” go beyond artists we already know/think we know.
