Rise against is playing blue ridge. I’d say they are in play to play this year even tho they just played back in 2021
Doubt that will ever happen. Zack has been asking the rest of the band to do full album plays and always gets told no
speaking of trio, im very interested to hear what these lads cook up, but also would see them at riot without hearing a single song, haha
I know you can just skip their set and all, and I know this festival thrives on bringing back its staples, but I would love if there was like a 5 year gap between Rise Against playing again, personally. They take up a higher spot that I feel a band that plays Riot more infrequently, or even as a first timer, could be booked in.
The years rise against has played: 2012, 2014, 2019, 2021. The only reason they played in 21 is cuz someone dropped. People think they have played more but they haven’t. They never played it when it was multi venues throughout the city
You can honestly make the argument TBS has played every year since 2013. 2016 is the only year they didn't play the actual fest since then, but they still played an official aftershow at the Metro.
Shit forgot that, I say it counts... so they are tied with Andrew WK for second most for Chicago behind Gwar I think then TBS might legit be 50-50 or less this year though.. unless they get added late again, which I'm thinking they don't because last year they played Tinley on July 8, this year they play July 21 (a Friday, so if they'd announce it'd be like the 25th or 26th) which is pretty late to announce even as a second wave I think
Like someone said, they played a Riot after show in 2016.. counting it is discretionary though Riot Fest & Carnival After Shows
