Yeah, I was gonna say... From a recent interview I've heard with Warren he is 100% not right-wing. LOL Escalante is the only one in that camp that I'm aware of.

Vilent Femmes just announced a run of west coast dates in April/May doing their debut album. I could see them adding an east coast/midwest run with a Riot Fest date later in the year.

That’d make a great album play!

Yeah that was like 10 years ago and I wasn’t there.

If Fear can play The Record twice at Riot Fest in half that time and The Academy Is can play 2 “reunion” sets at riot fest in that time, there’s no reason a beloved album that rarely gets played can’t appear twice

I wouldn't also necessarily say Braid is a lock for Riot tbh. Riot may just be promoting their club show in Chicago when it inevitably gets announced.

Someone on the predictions thread on the Riot sub said "Green Day is on board this year" and someone else said there's talk on the Pearl Jam forums that they have a Chicago date in September that is not Wrigley Field.

GD guy could be lying and PJ is probably like United Center or something, but worth sharing.

Pearl Jam would be sick, but I think Green Day has a better shot tbh

    Give what you can.

Just realized High Vis is pretty likely to play this year. They're playing a RF Presents show at Cobra in April, and then will be back in the states in Sept for Furnace fest. Can't make the Cobra show, so fingers crossed.

High vis is so good. Will be at the cobra show with dazy and conservative military image.

Hell Dazy and Conservative Military Image would be great adds for early day openers too.

Kiss announced a show in November at Rosemont.. so they are out, not a Kiss hater but I'm glad Riot didn't waste their last show in Chicago as one of the headliners

Ashnikko playing Chicago September 16th. Not that she was considered for Riot, but still mentioning it.

I'm totally fine with mentioning other shows in the city around the same time as Riot.. gives people other options

I do like her and when I first saw the dates I thought it was Riot! Hope Riot starts booking some hyper pop

Gel would be a fun get. They would be a good first band of the day on Radicals Stage

What are the chances of Riot booking Twisted Sister this year?

They played at the Metal Hall of Fame this year and have one show scheduled in the Netherlands. Also, Dee has played Riot Fest before. It would be quite the left-field booking.

Dikembe? Skipping Chicago on this run and have posted about wanting to play Riot in the past. I think this is the year!

That tour looks like a primarily southern US run. I'd imagine they have more tour dates coming up in late summer and/or fall... But I could just as easily see those happening in October leading up to Fest.

Depends on how extensive they want to tour, TBH. A short midwest run with a Riot date is obviously feasible.

I'm just always hesitant to assume some of these bands who very clearly have day jobs are going to use all of their vacation time touring. Definitely a possibility now, though!

Tegan & Sara with a conspicuous tour gap from Minneapolis on 9/12 to Pittsburgh on 9/16
