The other festival Heatwave that moved in last year is on sale but does not specify that it will be in Douglass Park either
Wasn't familiar enough to know where this was LOL, but looked it up and besides not the best rail access (plenty of bus routes though).. I like the location
Yeah, I've been thinking about transit access. I wonder if they'd run constant shuttles to and from the Logan Square Blue Line stop.
Is it wrong to feel like the other two larger festivals that moved in there the last couple of years kinda fucked it up for Riot? I know there was friction before but it really seemed to ramp up after that and add another argument against Riot that isn't necessarily anything Riot can fix without moving (nor are they responsible for it). That is, the fact that it went from one major festival to three eating up the park's time isn't anything Riot can help. EDIT: Not saying they shouldn't try to fix it. But I feel like, without those other festivals, this conversation isn't even happening.
THEY. SUCK. riot could come hang with me down in St. Louis. we lost Loufest, and Music @ the intersection is just getting off the ground but doesnt overlap with riot-esque bands at all... st louis isnt a 'destination' city but has great music roots, and surprisingly high number of things to do, especially in just the last 5 years, so many areas making big improvements.. except for public transit, thats still lacking.
Headliners for me are eh, but otherwise it’s a solid lineup. I hope Cypress Hill and Flaming Lips both do respective anniversary tours for those albums (it’s funny, both of them have already played them at Riot. I guess they’d both technically be out)
I'm alone in my office and audibly said "WHOA" when I saw that Copeland is playing BTM. REALLY REALLY hope that means they'll do a tour for it.
