Lot's of people on Twitter saying there is already a big line to get in. If they do end up opening at 3 then these people are fucked, waiting 4 hours in the rain in a sketchy area.
Im at the park right now and yeah, some parts are really muddy, others are soaking wet, like my boots go deep into the grass. They were covering Free Throw drumkit as I was passing by, so they are getting ready for more rain
Yeah, they let me in as press. But no word yet on the press tent about door times. An example of what the park looks like
Yeah I think if Balance doesn't play, we won't go today lol. Even after having to bounce early on Friday too.
If now three different people are saying/hearing doors at 3 then that’s probably true. Maybe some of the smaller bands (Free Throw, Cults, Hotline TNT, etc.) play last minute club shows tonight?
I'm wondering if they would give some sort of compensation like a discount for next year for people that have tickets for today
I doubt it. They had to evacuate at Pitchfork this year and multiple acts ended up not playing and they did not give any compensation/discount. Same with when they evacuate at Lolla. You know when buying tickets that weather may be an issue.
I think the only way there’s any refund/compensation is if the whole day gets canceled. If the Cure hits the stage at all, I’d guess that’s enough to cover them legally to not have to refund. Didn’t that happen with Lolla one year recently?
Wasn't that the whole point of that thursday preview party they added 2 years ago with Morrisey and Alk3?
I think the last time Lolla cancelled was in 2017 with Muse and Lorde, two acts that people definitely bought tickets primarily to see, but I don’t recall them issuing any refunds. I do think both acts got one or two songs in so maybe that fell under “they hit the stage in some capacity”.
Yeah, Lorde is the one I was thinking of. Had a friend who went only to see her and didn’t get a refund. He was not happy.
