Foo Fighters Setlist at Riot Fest Chicago 2023

 

Man I would’ve been disappointed by that, I love the new one. Especially with getting anything off medicine and concrete and gold instead.

 

My schedule for today - have to dip out after PUP for an early wake up tomorrow but totally fine with that. I’m up for suggestions on who to see between Shikari and PUP as well - I’ve seen Frank a couple times so that’s a fall back option.

How was the Foos crowd compared to MCR last year?

 

I'm really torn between High Vis and Rival Schools but you're starting to sway me with your passion

 

I was 5 or so rows from the front dead center of the stage and it was decent. I had room to move

 

On the flip side High Vis tour a lot and idk if Rival Schools will ever be back again

 

Had a lot of room in the middle back. It was a good time!

 

Also, if you don’t want to pay $5 for water, security at Rebel were just handing them out yesterday.

 

Was not there so cannot confirm/deny but for those who were, how accurate is this?

 

Not 10 min but they did jam in the middle of at least 8 songs turning then into 5 plus minute songs. Aurora was like 9 min

 

Yeah they drew out a bunch of songs for sure but it didn't detract too much for me

 

Pool Kids are so fucking good. That set felt so special.

 

TBH, I think Foo Fighters have the same exact problem that Green Day has with their live sets. Except instead of "hey-oh" it's guitar jams.

 

Didn't get to see FF yesterday but would much rather have the guitar jams than the stuff Green Day does haha

 

Every band needs to do what Bayside does and just straight rip. Particularly for festival sets

Also can’t say I like any of Silverstein’s last two albums but pulling out Ides of March ruled

 

Taylor Acorn was really good, but it’s a big pet peeve of mine when artists have a live drummer and guitarist but use backing tracks for bass. What I’m saying is Taylor Acorn should hire me.
