Frank Turner released his fall schedule and lists Riotfest as 9/15 & 9/16, so seems a good bet for an aftershow

 

It would be cool if the aftershow is with his hardcore side project.

 

Who are we expecting for aftershows?

 

Thursday doing War All The Time? Still weird they’re not doing it at Riot

 

I would expect something like Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein and Bayside, maybe with Finch

 

I’ll be shocked (and sad) if balance doesn’t do one

Hoping that white reaper and drain do something too

 

After shows (hopefully) and 2nd wave should be announced next week, the tour gwar is on has its Chicago stop this weekend

 

I'm not expecting a second wave unless it's just Gwar and TBS

 

and some local acts for their community outreach. When they announced looking for acts from the neighborhood, all the comments pointed to one group, hardcore band Through n Through, so hopefully they get on and some other solid stuff

 

Crossing my fingers we get the aftershows this week

 

We got them on August 10 last year, so it'd make sense!

BFS is saying Riot has sold out completely. Is this true?

 

Umm no you can still get every kind of available ticket

 

I'm still just really shocked the Boston date sold out. BFS has only played that venue here in Boston over the last ~10 years and its never sold out.

Probably the whole "nostalgia for the early 2000s" thing coupled with the bill. The BFS/Mest combo is one I never would have come up with but I can see how it could work nicely.

 

Thursday doing war all the time at metro is the only one I have any interest in

No one is playing Metro on Thursday

 

nothing here is MUST do for me, but if either thursday or yard act have major conflicts at the fest i would go to either of those. godspeed, plosivs/hotline, & pup would all be cool too. and Tegan & Sara but i aint coming into to town that early.

 

T&S and PLOSIVS have my attention.

Can’t do any after shows this year but Thursday/Braid is so tempting.

 

Those after shows are pretty rad. Good looks to Rebuilder for getting on that Frank Turner show.

If I were in town, I'd almost definitely be trying to get to H2O at Reggie's and maybe Frank Turner on Friday (mostly because Frank's the type to do a completely different set an aftershow-style thing versus what he might do at a festival...and because Rebuilder is dope).
