Even if it has nothing to do with Riot, I still wouldn't be shocked if they play.. several bands from 2016 seem possible to return (I mean you can say the same for any Riot lineup but more so than most years I think)
taken from reddit, but (even though they have a chicago stop in May) Amyl and the Sniffers only have 1 date so far for the fall and its sept 23 in NYC, so they will be back in the states, and doubt theyd fly all the way here for just one show
Yup, and it's worth noting that they also have a NYC date (albeit in a different borough) on that first run of dates too. Seems like there's Riot potential there.
I was really hoping they'd finally play this year, but looks like the English Beat are probably out.. they have 2 shows in the Chicago area a week after Riot.
Ludo is doing their first show in chicago in a decade tomorrow (and being livestreamed). glad they are finally doing a show outside of STL again, maybe they will travel back up in september? would be a great early main stage/main-adjacent for all the MCR die hards waiting all day, haha.. or even a mini-STL invasion with ludo, story of the year, fragile porcelain mice, and the urge all coming up!
I would love Ludo on the lineup. Saw them in St Louis for one of the Halloween shows and it was a great time. Can’t make it this weekend sadly so here’s hoping
Love this band and love this record but would be much more excited about a regular set. Or an ACBTLD play - I know that will probably never happen though.
I know they already did this in 2017 but since they played last year I could see them having to play an album this year. Same with Thursday who seems to be obvious
seeing thursday and NOT hearing For the workforce, Drowning would be a bit of a bummer. they would probably be on the losing side of a schedule conflict for me since their after show last year was one of the best sets ive seen from any band since the pandemic. the energy in that room was fever pitch and even their festival set the next day couldnt come close, so my Thursday viewing experience has probably peaked, haha. will still love them forever and always tho
Does Bayside have another album that would be worth an album play, though? They already did S/T, although that was an unofficial one... I'm gonna assume they aren't playing this year, album play or not, given they have a Chicago date in June with Thric. Any Thursday is good Thursday. But not hearing FTWD would definitely be a bummer, haha.
Oh yeah I forgot about the June show they def won't play... good call. As for them doing an album play they should have done Killing Time last year
Interesting! I was always under the impression that most fans weren't so into that record. The album of theirs I'd most want to see is Shudder but uh... That one is incredibly maligned among most of the fanbase, I think.
Probably more of a fan favorite but they did do an anniversary stream playthrough of it which was awesome Shudder rocks but yeah they would never lol
Seeing Prince Daddy and the Hyena and Macseal tonight. They would both be great early to mid day undercard bands, especially P Daddy who just put out a new album.
So it’s not that Hayley Williams would neeeever play these songs any time soon… (I don’t really have a stake in Paramore or Riot! at Riot, don’t yell at me)
