I’m guessing Riot Fest quietly moved a ton of tickets today from people who realized it was cheaper to do a 3 day festival than it is to just see MCR on their own tour
100%. I would never pay those prices to see my chem in an arena setting . If I was a die hard, to me, no brainer. Riot all the way
Riot tickets will be moving quick even just on the fact that riot is their only show in one of the 4-5 biggest cities in the country. i went browsing ticketmaster to look at the prices, and damn yea, prices are wild for the solo shows. but i was even more impressed with how close they are to legit selling out when you consider the pink ones are resale.
We always get ours early because coming out of state, I'd rather not risk being able to get 2 the day of, but was it easy in 2016 when Misfits played? It was our first year going so I don't remember. Genuinely curious though
Rx Bandits are teasing a tour. They’re posting the names of a few random cities on their Instagram story without further context. The cities (so far) are Garden Grove, Phoenix, LA, San Diego, NYC, Philadelphia, and Boston. No Chicago yet. They could be a lock since they supposedly also have new music out this year
Oh, that'd be rad! There's definite potential for them to be a lock if the tour dates line-up. Sidenote: They would fit in real nicely on a ska stage or on that 311 stage I had set-up earlier. They'd honestly be a perfect fit for that one.
https://blockclubchicago.org/2022/0...month-after-woman-powered-fest-was-announced/ Know this was brought up a while ago, but now it looks like this fest was cancelled. Aside from it being a bummer, I think it puts a couple more non-male artists on the radar.
That's such a bummer. Wonder why it fell through. Not seeing a lot of obvious crossover with the (probably too obvious?) exception of Liz Phair and Laura Jane Grace. But both of those would be fantastic additions to Riot's line-up. Oh man! I'd love to get Propagandhi, the Flatliners, Moneen, the Fullblast, Good Riddance, Ignite, Living With Lions, and/or the Penske File. What feels most likely from that crop: The Flatliners (Cavalcade album play), Moneen, Good Riddance, and Propagandhi. In order of likelihood.
Pearl Jam (if we were expecting them) are out. Despite having an open day the 17th, and no Chicago date, it would appear they have shows the weekend of Riot
Hopefully LJG will end up playing the Anthony Green show now cus she's not listed on the thalia hall website and I assume if she wasn't playing it's because she was doing this
