RIP ETID & MMB. 2 cases already in 2022 of *seemingly* 2 singers going off the deep end to the point of band break up, and in both cases many are speculating from context clues that the their significant others strongly played a part in going off the deep end. Can this not become a trend please?

edit to say 'going off the deep end' but in very differnet ways as keith from etid is def not anti vax.

 

I'm still in shock that the Bosstones broke up in this way. I would have bet money it was going to be Al Barr from the Dropkick Murphys who would pull shit like that.

 

Girls Against Boys rescheduled their February shows to October with Chicago date included. They’re out

 

No Chicago date for Bleachers next tour, but I'm leaning towards Lolla since his tour ends that weekend

 

There’s no way, but I would be so mad if Bleachers were a Riot headliner

 

Can't really seem them doing this over Lolla this time unless Jack just like really loved playing Riot. Which I mean.. is possible. But that tour does seem to really nicely end just in time to get here for Lolla.

 

From what I remember, Jack was so stoked to play Riot because he's an old punk at heart, I can see him wanting to do it again.

 

I thought Bleachers was...fine at Riot? Idk, I ended up leaving about after 30 minutes to watch Atmosphere because I was just underwhelmed.

 

Yeah pretty sure he was (or still is) super into the NJ emo and punk scene. I’m sure he’d still fit in fine at Riot

 

Steel Train reunion at Riot Fest 2030 or whenever he finally has time between Bleachers and production work and wants to revisit that band.

 

I got to the stage early to grab a good spot for Weezer, I didnt knew who Bleachers was and they were one of my favorite sets in 2018! So I'll be down for them playing Riot again

 

I can promise he isn't..

Plus if you look at the dates, the last date is in NY the Thursday of Lolla.. so it's almost obvious he plays Saturday or Sunday

They have Fiona Apple and Yeah Yeah Yeahs as non-headliners which makes sense when Green Day is headlining but seems super unrealistic, they seem like headliners to me. Also LCD Soundsystem as a non-headliner makes sense when MCR is headlining but...same as before, they also are headliners. Also Sunny Day Real Estate, if the reunion tour hits Riot Fest, would probably be higher.

That all being said, I would love Fiona (even though Pitchfork would probably nab her first) and LCD (and YYY's, but I've never explored them much outside of Maps) to be on the lineup.
