Is the idea of one festival per season per park the unspoken rule? I ask because I actually wouldn't hate if they moved to Union Park and made it three stages, but I get that Pitchfork is there in July and it changes the dynamic of the festival too.
It's not really possible I don't think. ARC is there in the beginning of September so I think having two festivals back to back at Union would not be ideal.
unsure what’s going on with it but I just left and the 94 bus going north hadn’t shown up for a while. just in case anyone was trying to use it. I grabbed an Uber for not much fairly quickly instead.
I chose The Maine over YYYs because logistically it made more sense since The Academy Is is a priority, but man I hear Yeah Yeah Yeahs from the main stage right now and I am very upset at myself
Scattered storms are forming west of town and could move in sometime after 1030, for anyone heading home. Hat tip to the weather models who nailed this weekends forecast from like 14 days away.
Left NIN after 30 and magically caught a 94 north. Logistics of the festival are the worst though and I hope they move it next year. The problem is where.
Made it back to the hotel. Great weekend but yeah, it feels like the logistics this year were pretty not great. Two more days in Chicago, super excited!
Took a video last year when Joyce Manor covered Helena, and then when MCR did it exactly a year later.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs were so good! I planned to stay for a few songs and they just kept getting better. I did actually leave after “Maps” and I’m finally home and very gross and tired.
Festival has been over for 15 minutes time to talk about next year let's go Riot Fest 2023 • forum.chorus.fm
I was surprised with the ammount of crowdsurfers during Jimmy Eat World set. Being all the way upfront, it was painful (but fun!) being there during Sweetness and The Middle. At the end Jim came down and gave my friend his guitar pick and high five us! That was lit!
Pink line was much easier tonight from Kedzie! Will have a full write up when I land in Philly tomorrow.
