I'm so out of shape... I've cone yo terms with seeing MCR from wayyy out back

 

Missed Boston Manor earlier because I was in the food line. They were insane. Once I ate it’s been pretty manageable on my end, honestly. I’ve come to grips that I won’t make it through the MCR set. I’ll stick for the first 5-6 and peace out. I hate getting old.

 

I’m probably doing the same. A couple MCR songs and then i’m out

 

Guessing they ditched the paper schedule because they just ended up on the ground but its so hard to use their app when service is spotty. Definitely gotta screenshot my schedule tomorrow.

 

It’s almost MCR time!

 

Some friends of mine are in Chicago and 1 of them is looking for a weekend pass. Anyone on here selling one?

 

I'm a few rows behind the pit at Alk3 and there is tons of dead spaces here, I guess everyone is trying to get a good spot on the one next door. I'll just watch MCR from over here

So, Im on the middle rail and is scary seeing the paramedics and security running up and down helping people from the pit of both stages and even from behind of the sound booths

 

My chem on in a minute see y’all on the otherside.

 

This crowd was the most afraid I’ve been for everyone’s safety. MCR was trying but there’s only so much they can do

 

Yeah it was kinda scary to watch. Bless Gerard for doing what he could but fuck, I hope everything’s alright.

 

I had to help someone out from the crowd. This is why I always bring a flash light. Quickly made a path. I really hope everyone is ok.

 

Ubers/Lyfts are absolutely fucked right now just warning anyone taking them to get back

 

Got on the pink line at kedzie with zero issues.

 

MCR was interesting. Does Gerard always sound this way? He sounded like he has a bad cold. The whole crowd thing took me out of the show so many times. I still danced my ass off from the other stage.

Alao @tinfoil, did you wear a shirt with the picture from your avatar? Saw someone wearing that

 

taking the 94 bus to the green line was 10000% the move.

 

Left after “I’m Not Okay” didn’t have any trouble getting on the Pink Line. Some random notes from the day.

Just absolutely wild how crowded it was. I’m sure tomorrow will be more like previous years.

Pale Waves, Foxy, Bleachers, and MCR were my highlights. TWY was great as always but had some technical issues.

Can’t imagine what that MCR crowd was like up close.

Island Noodles worth it.

My usual refrain, every year, no matter how fast the line moves: They really really need another water station.

 

Some thoughts from today as well

- I left after I’m Not Okay and i’m already comfortably in bed

- I don’t get overwhelmed in crowds and today was extremely overwhelming. Just total chaos at times

- The lines were absolutely ridiculous. Not sustainable. It was impossible to eat or drink essentially without missing multiple acts

Hoping tomorrow is a little more reasonable

 

They absolutely need another water station. It’s egregious that they don’t. And the worst thing is there *is* another water hookup but they leave it for the food vendors.

 

I had a long full insanely good day. Got 2 foot long corn dogs for the pit then ate them after and then just pounding non booze liquids all day, with a few boozes now and then.

highlights were front rows for Portugal the man & foxy Shazam. Plus MCRs set list was perfect (though didn’t even attempt to get close.) sincere engineer, Algiers & Ls dunes were all a ton of fun.

Just saw this my bad! It was under. Probably waited 30 min give or take.

 

I did try the non-alcoholic Riot Pop. It was fine. Just a less good version of this black cherry soda I get at Aldi sometimes.
