Reviving this, because a recent setlist gives us an idea of what other tracks they might play. Looks like the main set is FMM and Woodson with tracks from other releases being the encore. I'd put my money on the "encore" tracks with one of the Problems tracks being cut (and maybe "Out Of Reach").
If I had tried to guess that encore, I would have only been off by one song. As always, needs more Guilt Show!
"Way Away" came on my Riot playlist on the way to work today, windows down, 80°, when I tell you I got emotional, whew. The hype has started to set in for sure.
The Menzingers' recent Punk in Drublic dates also give a decent indicator of what they might play as part of an encore. The way the schedules are listed on-line it's hard to tell how long a set it was exactly, but given that they played 3-4 songs after OITP I'm assuming it was 55-60. So we can probably expect something similar this weekend. More Guilt Show would be fantastic! That album is grossly underrated... Given the context, though, I think we might see them swap out some of the STWHA tracks in favor of "A Newfound Interest" from the Woodson EP. I don't know why, but I kinda feel like that might be what goes down.
What's the over/under on Matt Skiba changing the lyrics up in "Warbrain" to reflect a song from one of the band's playing instead of "Trusty Chords" or "Night On Earth"? They've done it a few times in the past. Not gonna lie, I'd kinda nerd out if he sang that "Astro Zombies," "The Black Parade" or "I'm the One" can pull him through. Haha.
we're leaving late for Clue because he wants to finish this episode of Bob's Burgers (it's valid but Im calling him out anyways)
I haven’t seen anything else, but according to Reddit, it appears Action Bronson’s aftershow has been cancelled
According to Action Bronson reddit, he also cancelled other shows too. From other comments it seems it has to do with him getting into professional wrestling (?)
A friend of mine told me he drove through Douglass a few minutes ago and saw MCR campers outisde the park
I’m not surprised, and although I did say some people were fearmongering in here the other day, I personally would never camp outside in a major city like Chicago, especially in an area where there is a higher potential for crime without police presence or a large crowd of people.
That's insane. Imagine camping all night and getting in 9-10 hours before the set, running to the front of the stage and spending the whole day there, all that just so some drunk asshole will shove in front of you right before the set or you get trampled by crowd surfers or mosh pit.
I wasn’t aware of the date,& i ignorantly assumed my Airbnb was in a super patriotic Mexican neighborhood. Then I went to the loop, wicker park,& logan square & somewhere along the way realized it was Mexican Independence Day
I’m wearing this shirt tomorrow & I have purple & orange hair,if you happen to see me I’d love to chat everyone be safe & stay hydrated & wear sunscreen tomorrow
First time in Chicago, had a lovely Mexican Independence day. Crushed a veggie dog at Portillos, tried Malort, we’re doing all the things
I also tried Malort for the first time despite coming here like 8 times. It wasn’t as bad as I thought but I don’t wanna do it again
