Cliffdiver, Jeff Rosenstock, and Rocket from the Crypt. (Not that Jeff will be playing much sax during the set, if any; I'm still gonna count it. Haha.)
I'm so unbelievably excited for Foxy. Not even a favorite band of mine, but excited to see Eric do his thing.
Fuck yeah! Got my JEW ticket Edit: Damn, now it means that I have to take the car to the fest on Saturday and find parking and all that
Working out the routing of my group's top-priority acts for each day and I'm still very very happy! There are definitely some Radical-to-Rebel and Roots-to-Rebel problems, like -- - Leaving Cliffdiver extra-early to catch enough Lucky Boys Confusion starting, because we're already leaving that early for Foxy Shazam - Basically can't see any Jeff Rosenstock if you're trying to see Bob Vylan (I continue to be so happy we have Ska Dream tickets) - Leaving Destroy Boys very early to catch the start of The Wonder Years But nothing we can't live with
I don't really do alcohol (barely any soda too) but I would definitely try the non-alcoholic one just for the sake of it. A few years ago they were giving away those electrolytes powder mixes and it tasted disgusting.
Also, they should sell it at some of the RF promoted events they are running outside of the fest itself.
I can’t express how not ready for this after getting home from a 10-day, 3-city, 2-country work trip this morning. I am going to sell my VIP wristband for Sunday, DM me for an offer - can likely meet either after festival on Saturday or Sunday morning
only thing i can imagine is lyric from the Rob Zombie's Never gonna stop - "I'm on Durango, number 95, Take me to the home, kick boots and ultra live" which is a reference to the car in Clockwork orange i think
Thats an fun fact right there. Was curious and I just saw there is also a Ramones song called Durango 95 which is also a reference to a car in A Clockwork Orange, so pretty sure thats the reference they took it from.
we'll make it to chicago in time for dinner tomorrow night. any recommendations? we heard giordanos pizza i think it's called is supposed to be good.
Pequods is the place to go for deep dish pizza. Might be a good idea to make a reservation on their website.
Where are you staying? If you're thinking pizza, Pequod's is my favorite, but there's only one location in the city and they'll be busy. you really can't go wrong with Lou Malnati's tbh. Better than Giordano's or Gino's if you're looking at the chains IMO.
