Bully is great but I've seen them a couple times before. I still need to listen to the others to make my choice.
I'm also struggling with this time period, I think I'm leaning toward Bully or Charlotte Sands. But I think it's gonna be a gametime decision just based on how I'm feeling
Cliffdiver was a "Fest find" for me last year. They happened to be playing the same venue as American Television so I caught their set and it made me an instant fan. Their full-lengths is one of my favorites of 2022 so yeah... Can't wait! Not sure if you've caught them live before but the Creed cover is not to be missed.
i think im leaning toward joy formidable only cuz i always liked the heavy abacus song, and everything else ive heard is solid as well. i havent ruled out thick or bully. charlotte sands was the only one that was a pass for me.
Only way to get in is if you listen to q101 next week starting on Tuesday. They are giving away tickets every 30 minutes
Daily weather update. Temperatures are pretty locked in at this point with most models showing low to mid 80's for highs and mid 60's for lows later in the evening. Generally very pleasant overall. Precipitation signal also looks mostly quiet. Graphic below shows 51 different ensemble members. Of those 51 only 7 of them show precipitation of note in Chicago during the Riot fest dates, which I highlighted to make it easier to see. You can also visualize that as of now, we're getting pretty lucky. There's a strong signal for rain in the days prior and the days after the festival. Let's hope this holds!
I was also debating between Bully and Charlotte, but I have seen Bully twice before so I will go Charlotte as I havent seen her before. Now that I have my schedule planned, my only conflict is Bad Religion vs Front Bottoms vs The Story So Far. Probs I will go Front Bottoms as its the one I have seen the less from the 3, and catch the end of TSSF
First day of Four Chord was awesome. Just a pair of side-by-side stages like Riot/Roots used to be. Perfect little Riot trial run to shake the rust off. Minimal lines, everyone sounded good, didn't really get crowded till Pennywise. Talked to some vendors and you can expect prints for Descendents, Menzingers, Bully, and Linda Lindas, and Riot Fest: The Hot Sauce in the Riot Mall.
Week of, and not only has the weather held for the positive as far as precipitation goes... It's looking to be improved for Friday and Saturday with it being "warm" (rather than straight-up "hot").
Yep looking like highs in the low 80s. We had a cold front come through yesterday with all day rain. Today is also cooler in the high 50s and low 60s. Starts warming up tomorrow and Wednesday and should be good to go on Thursday.
I know some people are not fans of knowing the setlists ahead of time but for those who are, there are many RF bands who performed over the weekend at Blue Ridge, Ohio Is For Lovers or Four Chords and their setlists are up on setlist.fm
