Wonder who they’ll get for both. Those are big slots to fill either by moving someone up or booking someone else.

 

Bro what the fuck. That’s two of my must sees dropping. I haven’t seen placebo in 15 years and never seen Bauhaus. I’m upset, they better get good replacements

Give me Thursday playing Full Collapse. They will be already in Chicago for it. And the combo Thursday-TBS-MCR would be a dream for me

 

my logical guesses are Coheed & The D.
my personal preference where i would see both replacements as an upgrade would be faith no more and iggy pop.

not looking forward to a long weekend of everyone online blaming riotfest for this. Visa and rehab are both legitimate, though i do wonder why placebo are just now finding out it wont work

 

Pixies, Coheed, and Tenacious D all strike me as later in the day replacements, where I think Thursday makes a lot of sense in that 4:00 slot, especially since it's the same day as MCR's tour.

 

It's also frustrating cause Bauhaus and Placebo were, along with SDRE, arguably the top 3 rarest "gets" on the lineup, and they'll most likely be replaced with bands that tour the US pretty regularly.

 

Tenacious D feels like somewhat of a rare get. And even if the other band they get tours often, they can make it more valuable with an album play potentially

 

Sparta or Elliott could also be a possibility, as Sparta will be at TGUK aftershow and Elliott is touring with AOF.

Or maybe they can make The All American Rejects to play as they were schedule for 2021

 

I don't know if either of them are big enough to fit that slot, but I'd be happy either way. I'm fully convinced that Elliott had some pre-existing conflict and just can't do shows that weekend. To not be on the fest or the AOF aftershow or having another Chicago show announced is wild to me.

Thursday seems like the best fit to me. I'd probably see them over Jeff Rosenstock even I'm not super excited about a Full Collapse set.

 

Fair, I'm of the opinion that they won't wanna play 5 days in a row, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

The important question is, was this announced early enough to get the updated lineup on the shirts/posters?! Lol

 

Elliott is playing Michigan on the 15th with AOF, so maybe they can do it. Im betting it will be Thursday tho, but it may depend if the members that are part of LS Dunes are willing to play a 2nd show 3 hours later the same day.

 

i guess Weezer could take both Bauhaus and Placebo's spot

 

Them saying they already have a band lined up to replace Placebo makes me wonder if they had Coheed locked to replace them just in case (contract signed and all that). They would make perfect sense in that time slot and on that stage with those bands - much more so than in that Bauhaus slot. And it would explain the FB event posting a few days earlier. Thursday could work too, but the evidence kinda leans Coheed.

My thought? Riot was aware of the visa issue and had somebody else booked as a back-up just in case. The Bauhaus thing came as a surprise, so they're scrambling to pull-in that replacement.

 

My question is what does “shortly” mean to them?

 

my guess would be Tuesday if they can get both contracts locked up (and Monday is a holiday)

 

All I’m upset about is once again the beer can schedules will be wrong lol

 

I wonder if they can update the shirts in time?

 

I was able to schedule my new booster appointment for next week! I feel a lot better going to a festival with a fresh booster haha.

 

Last year they got the shirts in time with all the last minute changes, so they should be fine
