I am looking to sell a pair of tickets but riot Fest/Eventbrite has disabled pdf tickets and the tickets within the Eventbrite app look very easy to copy. Short of giving my Eventbrite login any ideas?
There is no QR code. Just an order number on the tickets. My guess is it is to stop hold overs making profit on their tickets but no real idea.

reading these and thinking about what i see on reddit/twitter/FB feels like generally the top 3 most anticipated sets of the weekend are MCR, TAI, and YYY
I get MCR (obviously) and I even get the YYY. TAI seems surprising. I know you're speaking anecdotally but they were like one of those fringe emo bands that never really got their shine when they were together and I never really heard people talk about them much. They reunited at RF in '15 and I was stoked (AH is a top ten record for me) but I just am surprised there is so much anticipation for them. Either way, I'm excited for it.
i agree, i wouldnt have guessed them being this hyped just by looking at the poster when it was first released. i never pegged them as such a sentimental favorite to so many, i also thought they were middle of the road poppunk/emo, but i i was way wrong, i have a weird relationship with the emo scene (i like the wave of bands i came up with in 02-04 but i dont really like/follow many who came after) so once i stopped paying attention i didnt really know who the movers and shakers were. pumped for everyone who is a fan tho, the passion for them is impressive!
I feel like it has to be a combination of the lineup this year and the moment the 2000s emo scene is having. I remember past years where Spitalfield played and it didn’t have a huge reaction. Not sure if FBR is pushing some of those releases more with vinyl represses that’s helping or not, but I have been kind of surprised by their hype this year and placement on the flyer.
Ramona is playing Wisconsin 9/15 and they said the will have more shows in the Midwest. I feel they can play the Pop Punk Pizza Party, as they usually have bands that arent part of Riot.
The mailing that just went out says that single day tickets are "nearly sold out." I always wonder what that means in this context, hah. Arguably, they could be "nearly sold out" and still have like... 5-10k left. Hah. As for My Chemical Romance, I think it's kind of a perfect storm for them. The nostalgia for "pop-punk/emo" from that era is still pretty well alive. But beyond that, I think they've aged a lot better than most of their peers which helps when you're talking about their perception to your average person who isn't already a super-fan. They don't have the same "emo stink" that some of their peers do. Like, they feel less "of an era" than say, the Used or Senses Fail. If that makes sense. (And FWIW, I think both of those bands have done an admirable job of keeping things fresh both aesthetically and socially - but your average person doesn't think about their careers beyond 2003-2004.) There's also a certain percentage of their fanbase who hasn't seen them in a very longtime for one reason or another which is going to hype people up. As well as younger people who might have never seen them. So yeah, I guess I'm not particularly stunned by the hype. Haha. It's weirder for me that this will be my 7th Riot Fest and it will be the first time that it's a "must" for me that I stay until the end for more than one of the headliners.
My 6th Riot and I'm the same way. It's our first "must" headliner for a full set in all those years. Not saying I haven't REALLY wanted to see other headliners either, but this year is a stay until the end must.
Friday: MCR Alkaline Trio The Wonder Years Jeff Rosenstock Cloud Nothings (would say Descendents but seeing them a few days before) Saturday: The Menzingers Bad Religion / Misfits The Get Up Kids Yellowcard The Story So Far / The Front Bottoms (Tough because I'm not sure who is going to conflict between Yellowcard, but I feel like I definitely have to see Misfits. If they conflict with BR I'd be super bummed too though) Sunday: Less Than Jake Midtown The Maine The Academy Is.. Joey Valence (Seeing JEW a few days before as well so not really a priority for me)
Yeah, I think I'm in the same boat. No true headliner has been a "MUST" aside from maybe Morrissey in 2016 (don't get me started on that) and Blink doing Enema in 2018 - granted that was with Skiba so it couldve been better. This is above both of those in my book. Friday after the MCR set is going to be pure CHAOS.
The only headliner I stayed for in full was Jawbreaker in 2018. All the rest I've left before the encore, usually about 75% of the way through. Or earlier, depending. I'm usually interested but not enough to deal with the crowds at the very end of the night haha.
