Yeah, it actually took me longer to get there when I lived in the city than it does from the suburbs. God damn do I miss living in Logan in 2014 and walking to the north entrance at Humboldt.
I got Pvris just in case they do end up playing White Noise in full. And I got The Academy Is / Midtown, which would completely open up my Sunday to chill & not run around or (hopefully) have any conflicts. If the schedule comes out & there's no conflicts I'll probably sell that one
Thanks for the pointers, but unfortunately it was all for naught... Kept refreshing and got in once, but apparently my trigger-finger was a smidge slow on the captcha because by the time I got to pick my tickets they were gone. Ah well. Will keep an eye out for re-sale! Thanks again.
snagged a ticket for the JEW aftershow! Haven’t done one in a few years and I don’t get to see them much so I definitely want to take any opportunity I can
Debating getting The Maine, otherwise thinking i’m probably going to sit these out. I’ve never been to this area - what is it like at night/after the headliner ends?
Seems like there's an opener for Trio too, my assumption is Sincere Engineer but not sure why they wouldn't just list that
RiotFestPerson on Reddit giving the old "wait and see" to someone asking in the Aftershows thread if more bands will be added. Not sure if that's referring to more aftershows or just openers on stuff like Alkaline Trio and Action Bronson. Personally, I'd like something else on Thursday; not a huge Trio fan, and I saw them at the Pre-Party last year and open up for Coheed a few weeks ago.
Got a SDRE ticket but no Jimmy, which is probably good for my wallet. However if I’m able to snag one later I’ll probably go for it.
woooooooooooooo very excited about Ska Dream, very excited about 11pm start time, very excited for everyone else who's gotten at least one of what they were hoping for too! Circling back to traveling to and from the fest... We're staying in Logan Square, a good 90+ minute walk each way, so the plan is to try Ubers to and from the edge of a reasonable walking radius. Last year my group had great luck at night walking 10-15 minutes on Kedzie before calling a car, regardless of where we were headed. I am also making it a personal goal to scooter to the park one morning haha A kid can dream.
Either the Addison red line stop or the Southport brown line stop. There are also some bus stops. Just depends where you are coming from. If you put the metro into google maps from your leaving location it will give you train and bus options that are easy to follow.
