Someone on Reddit (I know, I know…) pointed out that Freddie Gibbs’ US tour isn’t hitting Chicago. I would pin him being more of a Lolla or Pitchfork act, but Riot has been good about booking that type of hip hop, so you never know
Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Billie Idol are all playing in Brazil a week before Riot Fest. While they could technically fly back to the states in time for the festival, additional dates in South America or spending time with their families after being out of the country both make way more sense. I’d consider them all doubtful.
It's a week and a half before Riot, and lots of bands just do the one Rock in Rio date and fly back.. so I wouldn't consider them doubtful yet, Green Day could still very possible... IF the Go-Go's are on the lineup, Billie Joe did write on their last album in 2001 so that would be a cool connection
Not sure is anyone was predicting them, but Bome Thugz-N-Harmony is out as they’re playing Summer Camp in May
I don't think Summer Camp would necessarily rule a band out - Chillicothe is pretty far from Chicago, and bands have definitely played in that area (Peoria/Bloomington) on B-market tours within weeks of Riot Fest in the past.
Nothing would really rule them out, but I can't remember any Summer Camp artists playing Riot the same year.. then again 95% of what Summer Camp books will never be booked at Riot Bone Thugs & Pumpkins are the only 2 acts on the lineup I would consider Riot bookings, and Pumpkins headlining Riot last year pretty much rules them out
Link doesn't work? ... I'm assuming this is So What Just looked it up: I guess there could be crossover, I don't put too much thought into the lineup being months away from Riot.. several of the more obvious bands for Riot on the bill played last year so they are all probably a no go, but does give a little more creed to Alexisonfire being possible.. Heart Attack Man is very possible as a lower tier bill too even though they have a Chicago date in April, same for Belmont.. oh and Sum 41 makes sense as a mid day main stage band on Friday
Oh! Knew they did Denver but didn’t know they played before. Then… maybe they’ll come back this year! Haha
If Hatebreed doesn't play Riot Fest, at least you can purchase "Perseverance Penne" from Jamie Jasta's web site to satiate yourself.
There’s speculation they are on the parkway drive tour that’s hopefully happening sometime between April and June
Perseverance Penne with Rigatoni Brummel, Cavatelli-ime I Die, the Linguini Escape Plan, Mad(meat)ball, and Modern Life is Lasagna
this post is getting dragged on the lolla sub so they think its bogus but the post still gave us a shoutout so figured worth mentioning, haha, happy new year!
Rage is out for lolla weekend. They have 2 dates in Chicago legit 2 weeks before lolla and their tour schedule has dates all of Lolla weekend
