The Joy Formidable on here makes me so damn happy. Haven't seen them since ~2011

 

Kid Sistr are my friends and they rock and I highly recommend checking them out

 

3-day VIP went from nonexistent to sold out ok

 

Surprised that Rx Bandits didn’t make the lineup.

Also, pretty surprised that this (so far) appears to be Yellowcard’s only comeback show? I wonder how much money Riot out for them. Imagine if WWWY got them instead…

 

I'm also really glad they have a lot of women on here, & didn't book All Time Low. After Four Chord got them I was worried. I'm a little bummed Story of the Year isn't on here tho

 

$300 for regular tickets better not become the new normal pricing. It's absurd. I'm glad I already have my tickets, for which I paid a much more reasonable ~$180. After years of consistent pricing, I didn't expect them to jump the prices up by more than $100.

 

Also no story of the year fucking sucks. Thought this would be the year they finally book them

headliners and upper card rules, but it sorta falls off a cliff for me after the first line of each day, i barely know anything on the undercard (i know and am hyped for a few, but only a few), so i have lots of researching to do as im sure there are few gems....
No tenacious D, no amyl & the sniffers, none of my STL crew (urge, ludo, story of the year), not much metal/heavy or hip hop either

Yeah, some of the bands I thought were very likely not on the lineup is most surprising of all

 

I wonder if YC was on Riot Fest before that Vegas festival was announced. I'd imagine Riot knew they had to compete with that somehow.
