No. They got rid of some EDM (Bassnectar, Flume), replaced Tool with Foo Fighters, lost Vampire Weekend, Miley Cyrus, and The 1975, and added undercard acts like Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Waxahatchee, The Weather Station, among others.
They almost certainly would play Lollapalooza but what if this puts Foo Fighhters in play? Imagine seeing them at Riot...
Flogging Molly, Dashboard, Uncle Acid, Primus were all on the 2020 poster tho.. if you look at both posters there are LOTS of the same artists, just on different dates... obviously they couldn't book the exact same artists 16 months apart.. anyway as for Riot, most of this lineup is nothingburger
I get dose one tomorrow. Happy to get it out of the way super early and have nothing to worry about the rest of the year
Both doses for me were so easy. It's been a ride but I've started to gradually start going inside for beers and to eat. It's invigorating.
Flogging Molly and Primus are both very squarely in the "I would watch that while eating dinner and it would be a highlight" category for me. I did that during FM's set in 2018 and strongly recommend it should they play again and in the early evening. Unfortunately, I think Foo Fighters are way too big a band for Riot. Their stock has dropped slightly over the last few years, but not by much, and not enough to put them in play for Riot. I would be all about that, though!
A little of topic but i see a lot of people here said they already got the first dose... Did anyone get it at the United Center? I'm doing it this Saturday and I was wondering how the whole process goes or if anyone has tips about when to arrive or anything helpful.
dont know if it means something or means nothing, but the FB event i was following for a rescheduled deftones/gojira show was just full on canceled. it was for the Nashville show, so maybe just that one date got axed since deftones are now at bonnaroo?
I had my first Pfizer dose at the United Center at 6:30pm on Monday. I got there early (6:10) expecting an after-work crowd and there was no line at all. Whole process took 25 minutes, including the 15 minute wait-out. TL;DR Get an appointment at the United Center if you can, it's seamless. Tons of signage and helpful folks to tell you what to do and where to go. All you need is your emailed QR code.
I got dose one today it took like a total of just over an hour from the time I arrived to the time I left. I go on the 21st of April for shot 2. It was at south suburban college and they are giving out Pfizer
\ Your Bonnaroo theory makes sense. FWIW, the Boston date appears to be on still. I wouldn't be shocked if certain dates on some tours were dropped for logistical reasons, local restrictions, etc. But I would imagine we'd see those sort of cancellations happening in early summer rather than now.
I just checked and on Ticketmaster you can still buy tickets for the Chicago date but not the Nashville date. on Deftones website it says they are playing Bonnaroo. Gojira and Poppy site still says the previous venue, but I suppouse they havent update their sites. Man, Im really excited for this tour if it still happens
All the hubbub about My Bloody Valentine’s complete discography on streaming services, and rumors of new music has me REALLY hoping Riot gets MBV
They seem like more of a Pitchfork act, but who knows. Also, (someone who has seen them live confirm this), aren't their shows excessively loud to the point of potential hearing loss if not wearing the proper earplugs?
I hope y'all are wearing earplugs at every show, regardless of how loud a particular act is. Seriously, wear earplugs.
Ah damn I forgot about Pitchfork. You’re probably right about that. And yeah, I hear they have infamously loud shows I do! I’m seriously the only person I know that does
