“Currently, the City of Chicago's estimated date to move to Phase 2 (which includes all Chicagoans 16 and older) is May 31.” https://www.reddit.com/r/chicago/comments/m24949/covid19_vaccine_resources_and_questions_megathread/ Illinois COVID Vaccine Eligibility to Expand: Here's What We Know and What We Don' Edit: I said June because it’s going to be impossible to get an appointment on the last day of May so it’s basically June for most folks.
Also seeing this in that NBC article: “Chicago officials had previously estimated that the city would enter Phase 2, which opens eligibility to all Chicagoans age 16 and older, on May 31, though that timeline would put the city behind both the state and Biden's deadline of May 1.” My prediction is the city will bump up to May 1 to align with Biden’s deadline.
That article was from last week. Here is one from yesterday that mentions Arwady announcing that Phase 2 will likely move to May 1st: Chicago Set to Begin Phase 1C of COVID Vaccinations Next Monday, Officials Say
The Bronx is finally releasing their new record in late August. Hope they get added with an after show at Cobra so I can get my vaccinated ass absolutely pummeled. New song's a scorcher.
Local H will be """on tour""" between Connecticut and Georgia the weekend of Riot, so they're most likely out.
One of my coworkers is convincing me to make the trip out for this, and honestly probably going to go. Still not vaccinated yet (phase 3A in NH), but hoping things are better in September
Rare is a band who can be as predictable as the Bronx are but still be consistently great. This rules. Kind of a bummer. I still think it's really, really strange that they've never played or been involved in any capacity.
Someone posted this on Reddit, saying that Riot, Pitchfork among others applied for permits https://blockclubchicago.org/2021/0...ganizers-make-plans-while-others-look-to-2022
It's weirdly comforting that people seem nervous about it. Makes me feel like if things move forward? It'll actually be done only if it can be done in a safe way.
this could be why Run the Jewels got booked for Riot instead of being re-booked for Pitchfork... Pitchfork's date could be a schedule conflict with the Ratm tour
Give us Rage at Riot Fest. Imagine if they were the secret Thursday band. Yes I know they have shows at the United Center but just imagine seeing them at Douglas Park
Tom Morello basically said it was in his interview with Stern.. no idea on dates, but everyone else is either rescheduling later this year or early next year
no idea if its a firm date or a placeholder, but in my ticketmaster profile it says the Rage St. Louis date i had tix for has been rescheduled for Friday July 9th
these are 2 big 'ifs' but ... IF July 9 is a true make up STL date, AND IF the tour keeps the same routing schedule, their US tour would end Oct. 10... which would create some logistical questions for RTJ playing riot, but they could realistically get to Chicago from anywhere in the country for a day if need be. edit - disregard above, just compared their original dates to what ticket master currently lists, and the postponement of 2 coachella shows shrunk their schedule by 20 days, and a few cities have been rearranged, with the US leg ending Aug. 19
Not in the city but North Cost just announced their festival for 2021, September 3-5. No crossover with Riot but September is gonna be busy in Chicago(land) with this, Pitchfork potentially the weekend after, then Riot.
NH announced registration to start next Friday, so pulled the trigger on the three day GA as a birthday present to myself!
Just re-booked my flight (and a new hotel) for this year. The deal wasn't quite as good this year, but still. Stoked to book it and feel like it might actually happen!
dude, everywhere's gonna be busy in the fall... Nola alone has 4 straight weeks of huge festivals in October I think some events scheduled for July like Hella Mega may get pushed back, so those shows may end up in the fall as well
