Had no idea how bad I needed a Coheed greatest hits set during a thunderstorm

  3. I’m the dummy who left a little early then had to hear my favorite Pumpkins song from the Pink Line platform.

  4. Wow what a day! Coheed & Beach Bunny in the rain were both so memorable.

You made the right decision, I’m walking back to Ravenswood. Every single transport option is fucked

First time ever at Riot Fest, had an excellent evening even though I didn’t get there until 6pm.

However, are there other food vendors besides the ones all lined up by the Radical stage?

  7. Thanks again for this advice. It’s about an hour total from my house to the fest gate and vice versa, and no absurdly packed loop-bound Pink Line trains to deal with at the end of the night. I’m pretty sure it improved my enjoyment tenfold knowing I won’t spend 2+ hours in transit.

  8. The carnival area has carnival foods, but the strip by Radical is all of the legit food.

I lied but I did walk all the way to the pink line and then walk all the way to Ogden and Damen to get an affordable priced Lyft

Damn, think some dude broke his leg or dislocated his knee or something in the NOFX pit. Gave a thumbs up while being carted out though.

Pink line was brutal. People seem to have caught on to the “get on the stop before California” trick.

Caved and grabbed a Lyft. Probably leaving just after the headliners start or even a few before from here on out.

Incredible day, regardless! The weather made things more fun, strangely haha.

3 years ago I jogged 2 miles in jeans back to the Ashland pink line stop after waiting 45 minutes for a completely full train. Today I was also parked at the Ashland pink line stop, but just hitched a ride back with a friend who drove instead. Highly recommend that option

Circle Jerks was for sure the highlight for me today

To the people that stayed: how bad where the main stages with mud after it rained for 3 hours or so?

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Am I tripping, or did Billy Corgan paint his entire head white?

Not tripping. I couldn’t tell from a distance either haha.

Can't speak for main, but it was actively raining during NOFX and I barely noticed anything with mud.

Good thanks. Trying to decide on what shoes to wear tomorrow if it’s super muddy or not

What was y’all’s experience pitting at the radicals stage? I wasn’t over there today but have it pretty prominently on my schedule for the next two days. I feel like it’s gonna be a disaster and people are gonna get hurt, especially after GWAR blasts paint all over it.

What an amazing day! After getting beat by the sun during Circa Survive, we laid out in the shade for a bit. Caught Living Colour and motion city from the back. Had a great spot for Coheed and that rain felt amazing! Thought for sure they’d pull the plug because of lightening.

The Pumpkins killed it. Perfect festival set, and surprisingly new songs Wytchh and Solara went off live. The version of Shame was amazing too.

I was waiting on Kedzie and when I finally got in the train after waiting almost an hour it seems someone fell on the tracks. It was a really sad note to end the day :/

Third time seeing Pumpkins and I think it was the best. They sounded incredible and Billy even got into screaming territory for a couple songs. The people around me looked like I had two heads when I screamed “holy shit” when they went into Crush. That, Quiet, Shame, and Eye with Meg Meyers satiated my deep cut itch.

Also them bringing out Michael Angelo Batio to do the solos on United States was mad. MAD.

Whole day was great though, arguably best day of Riot Fest through and through.
