Was gonna go last minute to catch Beach Bunny but it's looking like they'll be stormed out which is a bummer, but glad I ended up passing if so.

Dopplers got it moving past the park right at 8.

Anxious about the storms. This shit is looking rough… Looked at a weather map. Gonna blow through and be done by 8.

Are they telling people to evacuate? Because they should probably be telling people to evacuate.

Coheed starting is a good sign, maybe? But uh…

I kinda figure somebody is watching the weather backstage. And really tracking the storm closely.

There is lightning all over the place and it’s now raining

They need to evacuate if they haven't already. Lollapalooza and Pitchfork always evacuate immediately when there's lightning. Isn't it required anyways?

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

God. I feel so bad for the people behind the scenes at Riot. All these bands dropping and having to be replaced, and now a storm threatening the only headliner that stuck around since the fest first got announced last year

The worse part of the storm should be heading south of the park and not really come close.

Come to think of it - has anyone ever seen a Riot Fest evacuation map? Lolla is very forward with theirs and have it available all the time

I don’t think riot has ever had to evacuate for weather in the 9 years it’s been outside also I dipped out too. Today took so much out and I have much longer days tomorrow and Sunday plus not the biggest pumpkins fan so I don’t care missing them

Yeah, I checked on a map. The worst parts (thunder and lightning) go right around where this is at. Magically.

Nope, never an evacuation. Storms like this historically aren’t a thing here but…climate change.

I hope it’s a quick Moving storm and leaves quick so it doesn’t turn into a mud pit the rest of the weekend

I don’t know if Meg myers has other tour dates this weekend but if she doesn’t it would be cool if she joined rise against tomorrow night for nowhere generation and do the Version of the song they did together live

She hinted at a surprise appearance during Smashing Pumpkins set. I know she is doing a cover of Eye for a SP tribute album, and they are on the same label now.

Headed over to Beach Bunny when it seemed safe, that crowd was massiveeee. Just an all around nuts set.

    Hometown band will do that.

Still has taken way too long for their show at The Riv to sell out or come close to selling out.

  24. Today was fun, but very long. Can’t believe Thrice didn’t play “Stare At the Sun” when I had to stare at the sun for the first half of their set.

I was also really surprised they didn’t temporarily shut things down during the storm.

Right before NOFX started, a very drunk girl next to me who said she hadn’t seen any other bands because she just got there asked me to “please not mosh” around her because she didn’t want to get hurt.

We were like six rows of people back from the barricade and right down the center.
