I'm tuned into the radio station to try and hear the announcement. I'd imagine they MUST have a headliner replacement in place...
I’m really curious to see what happens about international bands now. I imagine Simple Plan had to bail seeing as they’re Canadian and the travel/vaccine stuff there is much different. I wonder if this messes up Fucked Up’s appearance too
Also, I just realized that Smashing Pumpkin’s bassist lives in the UK. I wonder if that will change up anything? I mean, I’m sure SP can get a fill-in for their two shows this year, but something to think about
Wow what a rollercoaster reading through the last page was! I got so hyped for LTJ for a moment. They are one of my favorites!
Was just going to ask about that! So they have Simple Plan and NIN to replace... Really odd that they didn't just slot LTJ into that set.
I assumed they would too. I mean they have played plenty of times and will be around anyway so I’m shocked that they aren’t. Maybe they just don’t want to announce it before riot fest does.
im curious how LTJ being on this effects their 2 dates, 1 of which is my town, of the flogging molly/violent femmes tour they were added to, on 9/3 & 9/4
NIN dropping is going to make my Sunday night way better or way more annoying in terms of conflicts depending on who they replace them with. Kinda hope it's a big fat nothing burger. Yeah, it's a little weird. Especially since they would have gotten a great time slot, decent $$$, etc. But who the hell knows what happens with negotiations like that. FWIW, the announcement explicitly states that they will NOT be on Riot Fest though. So I wouldn't bank on them being there. That being said? They look to be on the show at Radius so I might get a ticket to that aftershow now. Haha.
announcement hasnt happened yet, at like 11:50 he said news at top of the hour, but now its 12:17 and it hasnt happened, so im wondering if all this is happening so fast they are triple confirming the info before putting it out there
It’s weird. They’re playing both Anaheim dates despite the fact they’re headlining a festival in OC the night of the Berkeley date. I mean, I know the poster says they’re off the NorCal show, but it’s weird that they’ll have 3 OC shows in a row Also, any reason they’d be off the Portland date?
I’ve been at the point for a bit where I’m about 50/50 regarding any concert I have tickets to happening.
No announcement yet, the guy on the radio just said he is waiting for something so he can announce it
Hella Mega ends on 9/6, I could see FOB filling in even though they just did Wrigley. Chicago band doing the Chicago punk festival a favor? Maybe just wishful thinking.
