They were pegged to play larger festivals but that all must have fallen through. Regardless, this saves Riot Fest for a year. Guaranteed huge sales out of this.
I don't think so. Before RATM said they were reuniting for this year they were the huge rock act to get. Once they got knocked down a peg it became more appealing to do smaller festivals where they are the headliner.
It also says Douglas Park on there so that’s confirmation that Riot Fest will be back at the same location. Not that there was a lot of doubt but ya never if the neighborhood is going to boot Riot Fest one year.
seeing mcr at Riot Fest will be my 3rd time seeing them. saw them with linkin park and then a year or 2 later with blink 182 on their reunion tour
I mean that is just wild speculation and I really don't see Riot being a fest that would knock down someone they had as a headliner because another band came to them. Also like... ya they were always playing riot. Jason even said Coachella and Riot is how he heard of the reunion.
no theyve been 139 for a while now. started at $99 back in December. before they even announced it they where 139 plus fees
I agree. It's a personal decision on my part to not buy weekend passes now because I would rather see the whole line-up and pick a single day. My old ass can't do a weekend anymore.
MCR At Riot AND just notified that my dog made it successfully through his surgery, what an exhilarating morning.
Oh ya I wasn't aiming it at anyone, just pointing out that I think Riot Fest is very reasonable. Definitely understand waiting for single days if you're not into the whole weekend
That's super weird, I was reading it and that was the first band I put too. Well I jokingly put Korn at the first spot and then was like yo wait Deftones actually work for the third and I'd love to see em.
I don't think they'd be top 8 tbh. Seems there's a chance that The 1975, Foo Fighters, RHCP, and Bon Iver are the rock headliners and that's insane before you get pop and hip-hop acts topping like Lizzo and Kendrick Lamar. Oh yeah, and RATM. There's so much to top Lolla that they can't have even broken the top 10.
Top 8 I could see. They are bigger than a band like The 1975 who are likely to be on the lineup this year and will crack the top 8.
I don't know. They didn't sell out the United Center and their show at the Aragon didn't sell out right away according to @mattfreaksmeout so I'm inclined to believe MCR would be higher than them.
