cant decide if i want to do a mock schedule first or make my 3 playlists (1 for each day, gets you in the groove to see those specific/weird/amazing grouping of bands, haha)

Just realized that Friday is the most solid day for 2000’s post hardcore. Would be insane if Coheed, Thrice, and Circa were all on the same stage

I have a feeling they are on the same tour honestly

I had that same thought, tbh. But Thrice and CC already did a co-headliner four years ago that it seems odd that they’d do it again so soon. Although, it DID sell REALLY well...

Or maybe it’ll be a Disrupt-type fest tour

If only Thursday was playing Friday too...

Wow I can't believe Sunday is already sold out... crazy!

I would have bet so much money on Menz and ETID getting added. Pretty bummed about that

The additions are pretty good and the days are nicely spread as far as who I want to see. Saturday is going to be a nightmare for conflicts for me.

    My man!

Could see Anti Flag doing it too. Would be pretty cool

Yeah, there's a few adds that I was expecting that didn't ever creep in! The Offspring and ETID were the ones that felt like "sure things" to me. And I'm 99% certain that neither are going to pop up on Thursday.

A Lawrence Arms/Anti-Flag after show would melt my brain. Hah. Thinking on it, I could also see Jen Pop as an opener. She works with Beeks at Liquid Death now and I would put money on Liquid Death having a booth at the festival and her being in-town for the event.

Then they could bust out some of the liquid death jams too lol

Still hoping for The Offspring for the Thursday pre-party, but Rise might claim the spot

Looking into hotels/Airbnb’s at the moment. Anyone have advice on the best areas near the festival to stay?

Yeah that looks like a fun time. If I’m not mistaken, I think Jim from Pennywise is part of the team that put that feat on. If I wasn’t going to Riot, I’d go to that

I was thinking MGK would do the Rise stage with NFG, Simple Plan, Knuckle Puck, 3oh3, and Kennyhoopla

It's not a band, they will just throw spiders into the crowd between sets

Do you think I should buy Friday and Saturday tickets now, and just not go Sunday, or hold out for a potential resale 3-day pass when it’s closer to the fest? with limited capacity demand for resale will probably be higher

It’s so wild that Riot is doing gangbusters this year and Lola is seemingly struggling to move tickets.

Took a stab at band/stage pairings for the weekend. Obviously the stage designations themselves are bound to change, but I tried to match the relative number of bands/stage (5-6 for most; 8 on Rebel). The Sunday Rebel stage feels pretty weak, so I am probably way off there (maybe Thursday or the Ghost Inside would headline that one?)

    FRIDAY
    -------
Riot: The Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr., Thrice, Amigo the Devil, Seratones
Roots: Coheed & Cambria, Motion City Soundtrack, Circa Survive, Living Colour, Radkey

Rise: NOFX, the Circle Jerks, the Lawrence Arms, Pup, Anti-Flag, Meet Me @ the Altar
Radicals: Lupe Fiasco, Dirty Heads, Sublime with Rome, Fishbone, Meg Myers, Oxymorrons

Rebel: Beach Bunny, the Sounds, Kississippi, Eyedress, Beach Goons, Jackie Hayes, Girlpuppy, Señor Kino

    SATURDAY
    -------

Riot: Run the Jewels, Vic Mensa, Andrew W.K., Big Freedia, Joywave, Night Moves
Roots: Faith No More, Gogol Bordello, GWAR, the Bronx, Fucked Up, Man On Man

    Rise:
Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Hepcat, the Bollweevils, Just Friends
Radicals: Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade, Bayside, State Champs, Four Year Strong, Bearings

    Rebel:
Best Coast, Les Savy Fav, Citizen, Ganser, Holy Fawn, the Orphan the Poet, Spider, Devon K & The Solutions

    SUNDAY
    -------

Riot: Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, Thursday, Health, Facs
Roots: Devo, Mr. Bungle, the Ghost Inside, the Bled, White Lung

    Rise:
Machine Gun Kelly, K.Flay, 3OH!3, Fever 333, KennyHoopla, Blackstarkids
Radicals: New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Knuckle Puck, Ratboys, Skating Polly, Airstream Futures

Rebel: Alex G, Mother Mother, Bleached, the Gories, Pet Symmetry, Melkbelly, Gym Shorts, the Weak Days

I must say that it is wild but very deserved. Even though the lineup didn’t have as many crazy gets as normal, it is still a solid lineup. Even in 2018 when people kept thinking it would be canceled, they had an awesome lineup.

I mean, they have to be reducing capacity somewhat this year. So that might be a thing. But if events will be at 100% capacity, there's no reason to do that... I'm also convinced there's shenanigans with the refunds and they're actually going to release more GA tickets in about a month. They'll say its because of changes in restrictions or whatever. But it'll be all of the MCR refunds purchased.

I also think people are stoked on the idea of getting out and going to a big festival like this. And it's literally the only festival serving fans of this type of music in a big way.

Beyond that, while the "crazy gets" are few and far between this year, they did a really great job curating the line-up, spreading things out over the weekend in such a way that makes me less stressed about conflicts.

Just checked the ticketing site again. Looks like 2nd tier Deluxe VIP is all that's left for Friday and Saturday. Wild that this is going to sell out.

Also just noticed that they say that "entry may be subject to vaccination, testing, masking, or social distancing requirements." Glad to see this.
