My friend just decided they want to go for the full weekend. They were about to buy single day tickets, but I told them to hold off and buy a 3-day from a reseller. Starting to question that advice with how quickly the single days are selling....
I have no idea how these tickets are selling out so fast, when nothing close to this has ever happened.. they must be reducing capacity or people are starving for entertainment.. stumped
I was able to get through just now and Friday GA was still available. Sunday seems to be gone (for now), though. NIN/MGK effect, I guess.
I checked again and you are right, Friday still available. It showed sold out the first time I checked
People are starved, a lot of people are disappointed in Lolla but are also MGK fans so they're going for Sunday, and they're probably holding back some tickets for closer to the dates.
Lots of people have money sitting around to burn on entertainment/travel. Thankfully my job wasn’t impacted by Covid and those stimulus checks have just been sitting in my savings account waiting for things to open back up. Also, NIN booked a bunch of butt rock fests. This is your only chance, as of now, to see them at a multi-genre fest.
Also the tickets have just been on sale for so long. Some people have had tickets for this since like December 2019 and they've been on sale in one way or another since then
That is crazy to me. Don't sleep on the NIN and MGK crowds I suppose. I was 5 minutes late to get Friday tickets and was very worried about that.
I'd imagine it's both Nine Inch Nails and MGK that are driving the ticket sales for Sunday. There's not much overlap in the fanbases and both are hugely popular at the moment.
They are both why Sunday sold out so fast I mean it’s in under an hour. Also a lot of people missed out on nin Cleveland tickets. And for the ones that didn’t get 3 day passes they got single day
That'd be a safe bet He’s probably headlining a pop punk stage, and I imagine NFG, Simple Plan and Knuckle Puck all play it
I have a couple of friends that were NOT prepared for Sunday to sell out so quickly, they're pretty infuriated
Subject change: But do we think The Offspring are now possibly in play for the Thursday pre-party? Or would Rise Against be the better bet at this point?
Rise against is my guess Tim did say they have something planned for Chicago. I doubt that’s changed. Im seeing them at summerfest regardless
They’ve come close. They’ve sold out single days in the past but never 100% of everything they have available
