Also with capacity things people who are vaccinated don’t count against capacity. Also starting tomorrow the white Sox will have vax only sections with no social distancing. So something will have to go horribly wrong for Chicago not to be back to normal in a month and a half
Just to be clear, I agree that it is going to happen and was critical of that thread on Reddit where everyone on it was saying that it wouldn’t happen. What I am more curious about is whether us vaccinated people are going to have to worry about masks or social distancing at all. And I think it looks better and better that we won’t need those if we don’t want.
I’m with you. I have both shots, but I’m still gonna be careful for the foreseeable future. I probably won’t be that laid back until the summer
Also my dad just sent me a text saying they plan to have white Sox games at full capacity after July 4th. so my guess is July 16th. That’s their first home game after July 4th.
It’s like clockwork- every 30 minutes I get my hopes up for the next 30 minute interval, but it never comes. Is this purgatory?
At this point, I don't think there's any chance that these larger festivals - and smaller shows - don't happen unless there's some sort of major upswing from a new variation or something. Which hopefully doesn't happen. By the time September rolls around, I think we'll be in a much better spot as far as number of cases are concerned so masks and social distancing for people who are vaxxed probably won't be required... But I can see certain festivals strongly suggesting masks. Or maybe even having specific food or beer boths or something that require presenting a vax card to get in line for. Hard to tell how it's all going to play out.
I saw some vids from that tour they did behind the last album, Jared still sounded really good but it was literally just him and his brother on drums onstage, everything else was pre-recorded or being played off stage. I don't think I've ever seen a "band" do something like that before, Twenty One Pilots do a lot of pre-recorded tracks but this was a whole different level. That song with Halsey was pretty great though.
Yeah, my gf and I were talking about this the other day, and she’s concerned that something like this is gonna happen. Which, I totally think is valid. I’m being optimistic with how everything is rolling out, but I wouldn’t be shocked if this ended up happening. Especially with the awful situation in India, and new strains of the virus forming too. But I’m hoping and expecting the best.
I totally forgot they had a song with Halsey lol I saw them in that tour, managed to get a photo pass for it. I was surprised and dissapointed when Jared didn't play guitar for the whole show, Shannon was still killing it in the drums tho.
I'm doing my best to remain optimistic about the whole thing, mostly because the best any of us can do is our own parts to prevent the spread... Like, me worrying about a new variation upturning the positive movement isn't going to help, y'know? So I'm operating as if everything is going to happen. And if it doesn't? Well, we rollover our tickets to 2022, get a refund on our flights, and cancel the hotel reservation. It is what it is. But I hope the "what it is" winds up being me in a field watching Pup in 75 degree weather as the sun is about to set. Samesies. There's always tomorrow...
