Creeper was also part of Aftershock and I just realized that they are no longer in the bill. So yeah, probs they were also on the MCR tour
They generally ramp up the trolling pretty hard before the line-up drops. This feels like a wind-up to an announcement of an announcement. Based on the fact that they came at someone the other day with a "Don't you know what the first half of May means?!!" it's definitely still on track for today or tomorrow.
I know I, like many people, get paid twice a month (~15th and the last day) and maybe they're waiting for pay day so people can buy their ticket immediately. (I know this is stupid but this whole situation is rotting my brain haha)
I think the "May 13, 2021" date in the PDF for the 2022 ticket instructions is significant. Today still feels likely to me!
Arguably, Friday might still make sense with the May 13th date. Especially since they already stopped selling GA tickets a few days back. But, at this point, I think they owe it to themselves to get it out ASAP. People are getting really confused between the fact that GA tickets say "SOLD OUT" and the fact that people are sharing that 2022 ticketing page without any context. That got posted to a FB group I'm part of and people immediately jumped to "Wait, the 2021 festival is cancelled?!!" I can officially say that this thread is the only sane place to discuss this shit on the Internet.
Chris Gethard has performed at The Fest in the past, and is again this year. He was heavily involved in the Jersey punk scene in the 90s, there's all sorts of publications with him talking about. I'm in a FB group called New Jersey Pop Punk 1994-2002 and he chimes into conversations every once in a while
killing time - we have had Tenacious D, Juliette & the licks, and calpurina... any other good actor/celebrity bands out there we should snag? Id love Childish Gambino one year as a hip hop headliner. and i doubt theyd ever book comedy act as a headliner but flight of the conchords would rule
Ok, this might be a a bad opinion... but those first two Thirty Seconds to Mars records were pretty damn good. Not sure how they morphed into what they are now, it’s bizarre. That first record, especially, had some good prog-space rock on it.
Personally I think they 3rd album is their best. Their last one was... something. The downside is that they don't play that much songs from their first 2 albums, and they don't even play that much instruments live anymore but backtracks, so I don't think they would do an album play
Dead & Company will be playing Wrigley Field the same weekend as Riot, someone posted about it on the Tour Forum. Not that they were a possibility or anything.
Did they play Chicago during Riot Fest a few years ago too? I'd kind of like to see them someday but I don't want to skip a day of Riot.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cn...ealth/cdc-mask-guidance-vaccinated/index.html Wonder what Reddit thinks about this? I still saw people on there the other day saying that Riot Fest isn’t going to actually happen.
It might not be the place for this comment, but I've been fully vaxxed for a month & a half now & I don't plan on losing the mask anytime soon. I can't remember a one year period in my life where I never even got so much as a cold, but I haven't in the last year & I don't think it's a coincidence. And hopefully it'll encourage people to not stand immediately beside me, I'm not one to hang in the pit anyway
There’s no way it doesn’t happen with them wanting to be open with no restrictions by July in Chicago. Also starting may 24 the white Sox will allow 60% capacity
