GWAR's playing Saturday...though that'll be a hell of a run from Pittsburgh to Chicago back to Charleston.

Acts like Rob Zombie and Dee Snider make the bill because they will sell tickets (likely single-days) to a different demographic than the generic Riot attendee while also possessing enough of an overlap to provide a more general "value add" to those generic Riot attendees. If anything the fact that they're straight-up mainstream rock now bolsters the value of adding them.

And I can see that with Rob Zombie. Dee Snider feels iffy, but I can see it a bit with him too... I don't see that with Avenged Sevenfold. Not as a headliner, anyway (and they would have to be top 3).

A7x won’t play this year they are playing tinley Park on August 11 with prophets of rage and three days grace. But with that being said I could see them headlining in future years if they can get system to headline they can get a7x to headline. Also I don’t ever see rammstien headlining their production is way way way to massive for riot fest has anyone here seen them live or seen videos of them live it’s fucking insane. I saw them 2 years ago at Chicago open air and it was one of the best live shows ever I was blown away by all their pyro and crazy shit they do

So Beck, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Tool is my new guess for headliners.

I doubt Yeah Yeah Yeahs would be a headliner. I think they'll be the first name after the headliner on their day.

That's a strong line-up, but it errs a bit too close to "typical festival headliners" for me to be particularly interested based on headliners alone. I'm hoping that Beck or the Yeah Yeah Yeahs aren't top three.

But if the 2nd and 3rd lines are strong, with an exceptional undercard (that has a few rare gets or surprises)... I'd be in.

This is the least excited I've been for the lineup. Hope they surprise me though

Same. I'll probably go for a single day, depending on the lineup, but it's been a down year for festivals for my tastes.

Ian Mackaye playing in any form might get me to go. I'm hoping they can do something special though, whether it's a reunion or killer undercard. Aside from Jawbreaker, last year's lineup didn't really stick out to me.

  22. Just found flights from SLC to Chicago for these dates for only $233... Holy shit. I might actually do this. I've always wanted to go to Riot Fest. The lineup is generally right in my wheelhouse.

I really hope that doesn't actually turn out to be the top 3. It would be the first year I would have zero interest in any of the headliners.

  24. I hear that Tool puts on a hell of a show, but I have no interest in their actual music. Beck and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs... I couldn't care less about either of them, although I used to like a couple YYY songs.

I didn’t have any interest in any of the headliners last year, and I still had an amazing time ending my days with A Day to Remember, Wu-Tang Clan, and Paramore. Y’all will be fine, haha.
