Yeah I forgot about Tyler. I can also see him and Vince playing

Totally didn't think of that. Makes way more sense

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

What about LCD Soundsystem? They did Lolla and Pitchfork off their reunion already.

I don't think they fit Riot Fest at all. It'd also be disappointing to me because even though I adore LCD Soundsystem, it's an uninspired headliner, because like you said, they've already played Lolla and Pitchfork, both of which I was at.

Last time I went was 2014, already planning on going next year. Bands I hope:

Papa Roach (SOAD already played so..)
    Billy Talent
Alkaline Trio (they need to be back next year, it's due)
Gaslight Anthem (reunion, I think it would be huge)
    The Adicts
    Youth Brigade

I feel like Weezer could come back next year too

I mean like what you like but they're just objectively not even a Riot Fest band. SOAD = heavy mainstream band with a strong political message. Papa Roach = buttrock.

I am worried about the undercard next year, as Menzingers/Hotelier/Smith Street this year was huge.

Yea I mean I may see Papa Roach if I go to Rise Against this December, and I'm not going to say I won't have a good time during Scars and Last Resort, and that seems like enough for my life time.

But like @electro haikus said, not judging what you like (hell I'd be all in for A7X Riot Fest 2018, which I know a lot of people would not agree on), but most of all it just doesn't make sense at Riot Fest. Not the type of band they book at all.

    Hoping for:
    Alkaline Trio
    Japandroids
    Joyce Manor
    Crime in Stereo
    Brian Fallon
    Laura Stevenson
    Red City Radio
    The Loved Ones
All Time Low (So Wrong, It's Right set)
    The Front Bottoms
    Jeff Rosenstock
    Anti-Flag
    Iron Chic

Doubt we get even half of those but I think all of them are in the realm of reason

    Other than maybe Japandroids

Home Grown and Hot Rod Circuit would make me so happy :-)

It’s okay to have a little buttrock. Plus P Roach kills it live and will bring the crowds

You can see Papa Roach for like $30 and they tour regularly, don't see them drawing people that wouldn't otherwise be going

  18. Short wish list, in varying degrees of realisticness:

    Op Ivy
    Gaslight Anthem (Playing 59 Sound)
    Against Me!
    Brand New
    Antarctigo Vespucci
    Pkew Pkew Pkew
    Frank Turner
    The Front Bottoms
    Smash Mouth

That would be enough for my friends and me to go right there. Throw the Menzingers in to just for good measure their set this year was one of the most fun times I've ever had with my friends at a show.

My realistic wishlist (obviously not all of these but):
    Citizen
    Sorority Noise
    The Front Bottoms
    Jeff Rosenstock
    Petal
    Now, Now
    Pkew Pkew Pkew
    Pinegrove
    Diet Cig
    '68
    Flatbush Zombies
    Tyler, the Creator
    Vagabon
    Bleachers
    Tigers Jaw
    Alvvays
    You Blew It!
Jenny Lewis in some capacity (Nice As Fuck or solo... or Rilo Kiley if they could swing it)
    Pup
    Priests
The Wonder Years (if not next year, they'll be there in 2019)
    All Get Out
    Every Time I Die
    Eisley

    Less realistic:
    Modern Baseball
    The Format

I'd bet my left pinky toe (I'm not going to get too crazy) that Against Me! will be there next year. Laura lives in Chicago and they last played 2015, plus they tour a ton.

  22. Seeing them rip All Star in the middle of a weekend filled with a bunch of punk bands would be sick and if you disagree you might as well be walkin on the sun

I will admit that I would both attend and have fun, but there wouldn't be enough $8 beers in the park to wash the shame away

I saw Smash Mouth at a free suburban city festival (you know the type I'm talking about). Amazing time, the place was actually packed like crazy.
